  • Define perversion and maybe you deserve to be taken seriously... Otherwise, shut up. Homosexuality is hardly a perversion and incest is just socially taboo. To call either a perversion is just ignorance on your part.

  • @dow42 See i have a moral objection to incest when it involves reproducing, I don't think brothers and sisters should have kids because of the genetic effects on the childern. beyond that I doing care if to siblings are fucking each other, its not effecting my life at all. If there was a big push for incest marriage I would be fine with it as long as one of them gets their tubes tied or vasectomy. they can get a sperm or egg downer to give the child the best chance possible.

  • MTN.ORG MINNEAPOLIS,MN. RAINBOW FLAG TV. SHOW Land of the free, Home of the Brave!!!! Not land of the some and those who agree with my religion!!!!!

  • Great ad.

  • somebody is confusing heterosexual, penetrative sex with marriage. somebody is confusing religion with civil rights. somebody is still a racist. somebody needs to go back to school. somebody needs not to reproduce.

  • awesome !

  • Gosh, Darcy, you act like we need more people to help ruin this world.

  • Why don't you have the right to be married? The States do not ask you your sexual preference, and do not gaurantee your marital bliss.

You have the exact same rights as anyone.

  • I agree with this. The State only asks what sex organs can be found in your pants, and allows you to marry ONLY IF your sex organs are different from those of your partner. Not only is that a completely appropriate question for your government to be asking you, but it's also completely fair! I mean, if Joe wants to marry his boyfriend Tom, who he's been with for seven years, he can't do that. But I CAN marry Tom if I wanted to. Joe has the exact same rights as me!! God bless.

  • I disagree with you. The State not only sanctions only man/woman for marriage, but specifies only two people! What about strict Mormons? Or people who want to marry several others? Or family marriage? If the States allow for same sex marriages, certainly they cannot hold to a arbitrary thing like number of marriage partners! That would not be fair or make sense.

  • I'm agreeing with you, sweet hon! We already draw an arbitrary line at two people of a different sex. Why should anyone else have the power to make such an arbitrary decision? We should have the last say on where we randomly draw the illogical line (i.e. if you genitals cannot go inside your partner's genitals, then NO SPECIAL MARRIAGE BENEFITS AND TAX BREAKS!!!).

  • Only arbitrary if you believe that this institution founded by virtually every world civilization is arbitrary(or illogical and random). A common consensus that it was those civilizations's benefit to recognize and support the nuclear family. Or as you would put it, the product of putting your genitals inside your partners genitals.

  • Why are you arguing with me as if we're not on the same side, sweet child of God?! And let me be clear: our LEGAL PROHIBITIONS against allowing same-sex couples from marrying are not arbitrary at all. After all, without those legal safeguards, the institution of marriage will crumble! It will fail to support the nuclear family any longer.

  • This sacred institution would fail to support the Traditional Family(TM), to be sure, because American grown adults are so childish, insecure and petty and they would actually FOREGO marrying after finding out that their homo neighbors--whom they hate so very, very much--can marry as well. This is a perfectly valid reason to coddle this temper tantrum-ridden group of whiney Christians! May my invisible skydaddy bless you straight to Heaven immediately!

  • ahhh, now we see the true darcy activist emerge, with the requisite list of demons.

Everybody against gay marriage HATES gays. Check.

Those temper-tantrum group of whiney, intolerant, hateful, nasty, etc., Christians.

    Double check.

All you're missing now is some right wings, white males, WASPS, Big Oil, non-latte drinkers, and a few others. Good show.

  • First of all, hon, I'm ON YOUR SIDE! I'm not some activist judge trying to overturn laws that arbitrarily prevent adults from doing what they want! Sweet hon, listen to me: I do not support the Leftist, Democratic platform of restricting our economic liberties. I DO NOT believe it is the role of government to tell us where we should put our money.

  • These 'activist' judges your talking about have overturned some of America's darkest mistakes

  • But what I love about the Republican Party is that it allows me to restrict social liberties. I'm just so obsessed with where you put your privates, sweet pea, that I'll go out of my way to lobby my lawmakers to ensure that they prevent EVERYONE from doing certain things that have absolutely no real or tangible impact on anyone else.

  • In closing, the formula can be written as shown:

Liberties relating to our finances = GOOD (at least in rhetoric!)

Liberties relating to the things we do that have no impact on others = BAD!

You still with me, child of GOD?

  • So get a $29.99 simple will kit, and leave everything to your life partner- or whoever you choose. Even married couples need to do this. Your problems not estate or medical, it's trying to redefine marriage.

  • With married couples who do not have wills and power of attys. assigned, State law determines the estate affairs. Same for everyone. There are other laws in play because of dependants(children), but in the presence of a will/pwr of atty., medical decisions and estate affairs are the same.

Stop using the Constitution as a bogus strawman argument.

  • Marzett- there are at least 10,895 federal laws "in which a small business is a factor".

If you don't own a small business, you can still asign a power of atty. to anyone, to make medical decisions for you, and write anyone into your will.

  • We've had marriage equality here in Massachusetts for a few years now. We still have the lowest divorce rate in the US. Straight people are still getting married. Not a single church has been forced to marry a gay couple, nor will any church be forced to marry a gay couple.

So, to all you frothing homophobes out there: If you're so opposed to gay marriage, don't marry a homosexual!

There. See how simple it was to solve your dilemma!

  • tucherch-

Where is there a law that says you can't marry a homosexual?

  • Some tricky Liberals will try to dupe you by calling it "same-sex marriage," but we all know all they want is Homosexual Marriage(TM). After all, ALL practicing homosexuals want to marry each other! This is why Homosexual women are clamoring to marry Homosexual men. That is sinful, because it is the marriage between a Homosexual and a Homosexual!!@@!@!!!!!!

  • @tuckerch : "We've had marriage equality here in Massachusetts for a few years now."

Actually, no we don't. I'm here in Massachusetts and can confirm that we do NOT have "marriage equality." We've only extended the definition of marriage to permit people to marry someone of the same sex. No equality for adult, consenting incestuous relationships

The true answer? Only certain types of perversion are tolerated here (homosexual perversion is accepted, incestuous perversion is still not)

  • @tuckerch Brilliant.

  • Again, you are calling it homophobic and anti-gay.

It's like saying not allowing me to marry all my college roomates(tax advantages) is anti-college.

    It's just not marriage.

Not allowing two men to marry hurts traditional marriage? That's a stretch. An ancedotal example shows nothing about those individuals or about marriage in general.

  • Marzett918- before I can answer, your biased assumptions are wrong.

Most who are against Gay marriage aren't homophobic-are you heterophobic?

A man can't marry three people- does that make the States anti-Mormon?

The binding of marriage at it's best, is the nuclear family. Without that and the traditions, it becomes another loose organization with tax privaliges.

That is why marriage was sanctioned by States.

  • I'd like to remind you that many muslim men across the muslim world marry more than one wife. Some of them move here and their marriages are recognized because of a special clause. curious.... I don't think that this has destroyed marriage in the US or anywhere else for that matter, even though this is compeletely beyond what most white western conservative christian straight men would most likely call traditional marriage.

  • ferocious..- please provide a link of Muslim men being legally sanctioned for 2 wives - I call BS.

Man/Woman is called trad. marriage in MOST of the world. But I see your contempt for lefties biggest villian, the dreaded "white western conservative christian straight men"

    You're a bigot.

  • actually I'm a white western conservative christian straight man myself (read my profile). But I don't mind if two gay people marry. I'm more concerned about tax rates, or people getting the death penalty for henous murders than I am about two adults falling in love and marrying so they can visit each other at the hospital or fill out tax forms properly or just show their love to their relatives and be in a sacred bond with each other.

  • Republicans claim that Gay marriage will destroy the sanctity of marriage. When Brittany Spears can get married and divorced in TWO DAYS, there is no sanctity of marriage.

  • This commercial is so funny and clever. I don't really like the 2nd through 4th one as much though. I like the way it points out the obvious inequalities.

  • can you say 'brainwashing'?

  • It's not brainwashing if you have a mind of your own. The ad simply points out that there are fundamental differences between marriage and civil unions.

  • Oh really? A nurse "wouldn't even let me in or tell me what happened"-?? Have you never visited anyone in a hospital? Did you have to be married to visit? What hogwash. Sip some more kool-aid.

  • Maybe you'd be better off not speaking about situations of which you know nothing personally.

    Your ignorance cramps my conversation.

  • Maybe you'd be better off not speaking of personal things in which you know nothing of someone elses situation.

Your conversational ignorance is a brain cramp.

  • You're doing your cause a dis-service by insulting other's opinions.

  • Actually. Yes. There's a set of laws called HIPPA that protect a patient's right to privacy, and as such only those designated under certain terms, or granted direct permission by the patient (which would be difficult if the patient were unconscious).

  • Well, why wouldn't the patient grant her 'life partner' permission in advance, like married people do in many situations? It would have nothing to do with a patients right to privacy if they granted the person rights-civi union partner, brother, aunt, whatever.

This is just nit-picking by activists to turn it into a descrimination, Civi Rights 'issue'.

  • Granting permission like that takes a lot of time and paperwork. In many situations, being married grants immediate visitation rights without the paperwork.

  • Civil union laws are being made easier in almost every State. So, now we're down to it just being some more time and paperwork? You want to change an institution supported by thousands of years of tradition in every country of the world, to save some paperwork time?

Somehow I don't think that's REALLY behind it....

  • You know what other institution was supported by thousands of years of tradition in the history of virtually every culture in the world at one period or another?

    SLAVERY.

They were bigots. They got over it.

And it's not about "paperwork time". It's the principle of equality. You could just have easily said "You want to change thousands of years of heritage to save some walking time?" to a black man who wanted to use the "white" drinking fountain in 1950.

  • oooh...so,righteous! Do you have an underground railway to SanFran yet? Funny how blacks are the most unsuportive of any group on gay marriage...Anyhow-

You have equal rights now- you can marry any person of the opposite sex you wish-no color or any barrier!

The states don't ask you your sexual preferences for a marriage license, and don't guarantee you a perfect sexual union. Which is how it should be- equal rights.

  • Booo. Listen, stupid, there's a sociological explanation for the amount of homophobia in the African American community. Look it up. And not all African Americans are homophobic. STFU.

  • Wow. Your ignorance is breathtaking, darcymay.

  • Right...because you have been in the shoes of every gay/lesbian person and know their experience. Try signing medical forms for someone without being a blood relative or husband or wife. How arrogant and foolish you are.

  • fuscharian- and how arrogant and foolish of you to think you have to have been "in the shoes" of anyone to know the laws or have an opinion. How could anyone have an opinion of anything, unless they were someone else?!

  • In almost all States you can give permission to act as legal guardian and sign medical consent to anyone you choose. It's a power of atty.

Yes you might have to do it before youre deathly ill, but if you don't, that's on you.

Stop lying/exagerating to make it a phony civil rights issue.

  • Exactly. This ISN'T a civil rights issue at all because marriage is a *government created* institution. Marriage only serves to give metaphorical cookies to grown adults for showing their daddy government that they can put a peepee inside a vagina. "Good boy, Mr. Smith! You can put your genitals inside a lady and give more humans back to your government!" The time is truly ripe for values!

  • By the way, you're really flattering marriage the more you talk about it. Keep it up, hon! "Marriage = peepee + lady peepee"

"marriage = make more babies for your government, pls"

The time is truly ripe for wholesome, HEARTY, values(TM)!! GOSH BLESS!

  • this ad would be a lot better if they made out.

  • I have a different take on this. Why the hell should our government be involved in social engineering? Why not revise our tax laws and any other law that promotes marriage? If gays get rights where the hell does that leave single people?

  • What kind of crap is this?

  • What a copy of PC and Mac Ad.

  • What a silly commercial, it suppose to convince any one of anything?

Yes, organised religion is for sheeps

  • all queers need to be medicated. I'm sure their is a pill that can fix this problem, just all the "gay rights" people will claim they don't have a problem because their feelings a "real". But the truth is, crazy people don't know they're crazy.

  • load of crap. period.

  • aha marry, and then divorce.

  • America has always been change adverse. Interracial marriages were banned many states until the 1960's. They used the Bible to justify the banning of interracial marriage. Many Americans still believe that interracial couples are wrong. This is no different.

  • To discriminate against people who love each other so much that they want to commit their lives to one another... I just don't understand why people are so narrow minded and just plain mean. So many things wrong in the world and gay marriage is not one of them.

  • well, if I can't call Christmas Christmas anymore, when 'under God' is unconstitutional, when "Nativity" movie ad is banned from Chicago's Christmas market event, and so on and on, it makes me think as well how bad it is to "discriminate against people".

  • i will try and explain this to you though I doubt you can grasp it: this country was founded because we wanted freedom from a government that only supported one religion. So unless you want to see religious propaganda for every religion you do not get to see any. fair and equal, get it?

  • I do not want religious propaganda, I want eqality. When gays learn how to tolerate others rights, I will have no probs with that. However, I think they will be in hell, but this is their own decision.

  • I thought you wouldent get it. this will be my last try. saying "under god" on everything is religious propaganda. the "nativity" only represents one religion, so showing only that isnt equal. there are many religions that do not bealieve in santa or jesus, so to be equal we have to show everyone or nothing. Gays by the way have no problem tolerating anyone elses rights. they want to be equal, not for other people to loose their rights.

  • then show everyone, because showing nothing is descrimination. Let me try it one more time, gays dont just want their rights, they want me to change or replace my thinking, accept gay things as normal, change the way I have lived, basically take away my rights. Just curious what religion belive in Santa?

  • Answer this, why arent they happy about civil unions? why marriage? People would have no probs tolerating gays if they werent so pushy about their lifestyle. Why do they sue boyscouts if they know it is based on Christian values that do not tolerate homosexual relationship? Maybe want to rewrite the Bible? They Should come up with their own GAYscouts or FAGscouts.

  • Why do they want to be accepted by the church as normal? The Bible says otherwise. Welcome to church , but quit what you do, cuz it is sin.

  • the bible says people who work on sunday should be stoned to death, and it is ok to sell you daughter into slavery, and there were no dinosaurs. well i dont think any of that is ok, so why dont you stop taking away my right not to heat that BS. PS- often homophobics are closet homosexuals. have a good life

  • actually if you read the bible more you would know that there were donisaurs, as for the slavery and working on sunday, and the other stuff, yes there are a lot of strange things written NOTE: IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, the place I've posted is from the NEW TESTAMENT.

  • alfaromero sure seems threatened and defensive. maybe he should stop being so paranoyd that someone is out to "change or replace his thinking" worry about his own life and family. Instead of worrying about MINE!

  • I dont worry about yours, I worry about mine any my family, just leave me alone, do whateve you want , it is your chioce after all.

  • Santa is Christian like the easter bunny and st. Valentine.

  • at least I cant find it in the Bible

  • you know what you will find in the bible: dont judge others, turn the other cheek, and show forgiveness and love to everyone weather you like them or not. Why dont you concentrate on the 10 commandments and drop the whole gay bashing bit. PS- where in the bible does it say that gay people do not deserve equal rights?

  • I also recommend you to read whole bible, not just the places that please your ears. If there is a word there, it is not in vein, there is a reason for it to be there.

  • I feel that a marriage is a religious ceremony and that it should stay as it is or however the church wants it but there should be an alternative to a marriage like a civil union that is pretty much the same as a marriage except for the name and that its not a religious institution.

  • LOVE this ad!

And to all the haters and prejudiced people out there, please go get an education.

  • This is a real eye-opener. :P

  • what is that civil union??

  • Quit with any 'god' reasoning- our gov't was built without him and it was supposed to stay that way.

To stand in between a person and their right to life, liberty, and happiness is a violation of our bill of rights and is therefore wrong - let them get married if they want to because it hurts nobody

  • you're just so stupid and dont know your own history.

The last three generations of Americans simply have not been told the truth about American history. Active humanists and the liberal media have for years undertaken a concentrated effort to misinform the American public by attacking the "Religious Right" and rewriting America's Judeo-Christian history in a humanistic tone. The motto at the heart of the American experiment "in God we trust" has been exchanged for "in Man we trust."

  • 'In man we trust' at least is a physical possibility. God??? to believe a book because I was born into a family that does, in a country that does - even though there a hundred religions who's followers were born into families of believers. "Nobodies right it everybodys wrong"

  • see, if there is no God ( I know He is) I lose absolutely nothing, but when He exists, you lose everything. And there will be no way back. Better safe than sorry.

  • You mean Pascal's Wager?

But how do you know you've even got the right god? There are thousands, and Yahweh is hardly even the oldest. If you are wrong about god then you've years of your relatively short life in prayer when you should have been off making the world a better place.

  • That's why I posted , to make the world a better place. I want you guys to be saved. Where as you make him do what He did with Sodom and Gomorrah.

How do I know I got the right God? He talks to me... that's how I know. God has patience, but it is not going to last forever.

  • You want to know some history, alfaromeo?

Christianity has been losing ideological ground for centuries. The battle for gay marriage will go the way of banning interracial marriage, minimizing women's rights, geocentricity, blue-letter laws, and (increasingly likely) creationism is public schools. Your battle is a futile one, and for that I pity you.

Religious morality is NOT a constant, and people will get used to Gay marriage when they realize that it WON'T destroy society.

  • More people die every year of heart disease than of cancer. That doesn't mean that cancer is insignificant.

  • You should try telling that to the 2000 plus people murdered annualy, given no choice or fight against a cancer, that. Tell them New Yorkers too, 2000 plus people murdered there annually also. Oh wait, you can't they are dead. Put that in your peace pipe and smoke it, oh yeah they are both liberal cesspools, I'm noticing a trend here...

  • halomademepoor, by that statement you do far worse than all the gay action in Greenwich Village. Maybe you'll be shoveling the shit in hell. Stupidy is no longer an excuse. You make a very mean comment. You're a bad person.

  • 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (English Standard Version)

9Do you not know that the unrighteous[a] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[b] 10nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

  • Prove that your god exists. Otherwise, get out of the way.

  • have you seen your brain? maybe it does not exist too?

  • Guess that leaves out the U.S. Congress, and George W. and the rest of BushCo.

  • (continued from last one, since we're only allowed 500 characters)

Ro 10:9 If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

practice love and compassion! spewing negative verses at people justs turns them off. showing that you love them no matter what will do so much more than telling them that they are sinners and are going to hell.

  • I didnt spew negative verse at people, I just said the truth. I know it is not pleasing but you can not erase it from the Bible or interpret it otherwise. I got flamed for this and it upset me as well.

  • I think it doen not apply to the people who deliberately go against Crist. He paid the price, but they deny it.

  • Learn to spell Christ when you make stupid statements.

  • Im glad you know it. What stupid statement you're talking about

  • Your's. All of them. Take your pick.

  • Unfortunately, laws can´t abolish prejudice.

I´m straight but I have gays in my family. They deserve respect.

  • I agree that they deserve respect as human beings, they have always been and will be with us, BUT they should not rewrite the laws and the constitution, and promote their lifestyles as something acceptable and superior over everyone else.

  • Are the laws and the Constitution (that one's capitalized, by the way) so perfect that they shouldn't be re-written? If that was the case, blacks would still be slaves and women would not have the right to vote.

Remember that it's President Bush and the Republicans that wanted to amend ("rewrite") the Constitution to discriminate against gays.

  • "acceptable" is one thing, but "superior" is something else.

I don´t think they want more rights, but equal rights.

And laws should follow and be adapted to the changes of society.

  • You're calling equal replacing traditional values with gay? See, this is why people hate fags. They don't want just to add their values, they want to replace everybody else. Looks at whats going on with everything related to God or christians, it gets banned and proclaimed unconstitutional. Fags don't want their rights, they want me to have no rights!

  • oh, come on, you have to wise up dude. Nobody would even touch gays if they werent so pushy about their lifestyle and werent taking my rights away. They can have sex with each other howevermuch they want, just dont flash it in front of my and my children's face.

  • so you think your lifestyle is superior??

ok then, I won´t change my mind, you won´t change yours, so end of story.

  • no i dont

  • but dont impose your lifestyle on me, the end will sort things out

  • allowing gay marriage would push society closer to the slippery slope. allowing this type of progressive agenda do succeed is one of the greatest threats to the traditional way of life. whats next? The state has no business condoning an immoral and dangerous way of life.

  • im glad you used the word progressive, because truly, america is making progress, against people who are ignorant to believe being married is dangerous. Are you married? are you often confronted with Danger? You confuse me.

Go read up on your writing abilities.

  • More quality sarcasm, I love it! Really highlights the ridiculous arguments against Gay Marriage, awesome man, you should be working for Comedy Central.

  • Wrong.

The state has no business deciding what is or is not an immoral lifestyle.

People with your mindset were the ones making it clear that abolition, and later integration would tear at the fabric of society and lead to utter catastrophe for America's culture.

  • OBVIOUSLY WE CAN'T THINK EQUAL. THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY STUPID PEOPLE AROUND ON THIS EARTH. Most of them are stupid and downright PHONY. They don't really beleive in what they say. They just jump on the bandwagon out of fear.

  • What ever happened to the idea of the separation of church and state? It seems to me that any two consenting adults should be allowed to be married under the eyes of the state. Of course marriage under god/Allah/whatever would be left up to the churches.

  • The only reason Gays want to get the 'benefits' of marriage is because the institution has become so weakened by 45 years of Feminist and Socialist Policy that one more social folly won't appreciably accelerate the decline of marriage and family.

  • Why is it that Massachusetts, the only state in the nation that allows gays to marry, also has the lowest divorce rate in the country? It seems like allowing gays the same rights as everyone else hasn't really weakened marriage at all there.

In fact, when you show that marriage is about two people joining in a committed life-long relationship, it shows respect towards the institution of marriage, as opposed to just some legal contructs where you can share 'benefits' with your partner.

  • thats not a reason to get the benefits... I think you need to read up on your vocabulary.

what you consider a "reason" is merely a fact that makes the opposing forces of "sanctity of marriage" look like idiots.

  • Yes, thank God we're not equal. Not everyone's moral beliefs are the same. "The way it looks now, we'll all be safe." Because gay marraige will start the end of the world.

  • The world literally ended when we ended slavery and allowed multiracial marriage, just like the bible said.

Fortunately, we got things all started back up again, but now we know never to tread such hallowed ground again.

Sorry, Jesus! With all the killing, death, and despair in the world, it's easy to forget how much you hate gay marriage and how much we should focus our earthly energies on that.

  • i thank god that we live in a country whose government is truly in tune with the moral beliefs of people. i hope gay marriage is never legalized in this country. the way it looks now, we'll all be safe.

  • I know! If gay marriage is enacted we're all in dange. Maybe even physical danger!

  • Yeah....ooohhh gay guys are like Kryptonite to straight men. ohhhhhh run and hide straight men the gays are marrying each other. Better check your manlihood oooohhhhhhhh

  • Yes. You would actually have to THINK.

It could cause an implosion of most heterosexual male brains.

  • Hey, I'm a male and can think quite well for everyone's information.

    No explosion.

  • Or implosion...

  • the whole marriage shit should be abolished in the first place. IF YOU NEED SOCIETY TO AFFIRM YOUR UNION WITH YOUR PARTNER THEN GO OUT AND FIND THE RIGHT PARTNER WHERE LOVE IS THE AFFIRMATION.

  • iawtc, the only reason im married is for benifits and such. if i could have gotten bennies through my husband without being married, we wouldnt have done it, we dont need a piece of paper saying we're together and love each other.

  • R u being sarcastic? I cant tell. Your statement comes across as embellished and surreal, and i truly hope you do mean it as sarcasm.

  • I'm kind of hoping it's not sarcasm, that way people can see what a real bunch of wackos are spewing this hatred (and running the country in many cases)

  • haha awesome post...creme of the crop sarcasm, good job man

  • I see, so you espouse the tyranny of a majority over the rights of a minority? You think that truth is democratic and can be simply decided upon regardless of scientific fact?

Welcome to Russia, enjoy your stay, tovarisch.

  • "i thank god that we live in a country whose government is truly in tune with the moral beliefs of people. ... the way it looks now, we'll all be safe."

Oh yeah, we'll all be safe... Our government officials are the paragons of morality and goodwill. If the government was in tune with the moral beliefs of its people than why the hell is the government killing 2 US troops per day, wounding God-knows how many others, and killing countless civilians?

  • I don't get it. Was that supposed to be a joke?

  • You are not even worthy of watching any public service announcements that attempt to educate and "enlighten" you. Hate to be the one to break this to you, but no, you and your mind are the joke.
