Their look and stage presence was about being an around the way girls. Not to glamorous..not dancing all over the place ..just cool chill chicks with voices. If anything I wish they would have spent more time utilizing Lele and Taj vocals to the max potential giving the group a more collective sound. The group was too centered around Coko. But with her pipes you can understand. The rule of thumb..You are a group so act and sound like a group. Voices had an (s) for a reason.

@2008lamar actually, when they were in the studio recording their debut album... some of the tracks were recorded with lele doing leads, she said that she wasn't comfortable, so they went back and recorded them with coko up front. that's when they decided that coko would be the upfront singer.

Yeah, their success and popularity started diminishing before they broke up...and then for some reason, Coko felt the need to go solo. She has an amazing voice, but solo RnB was not a smart move...especially at that time. But as an artist, you have to do what you feel is right for you...so I give her props for that.

I used to be a huge fan of SWV. I love their music. It's funny tho, cuz I used to wonder why a group like SWV would fizzle...and it comes down to mass appeal, stage presence, and marketability...granted, Coko's voice was and is amazing, but everything else about the group was ordinary from the way they dressed to the way they presented themselves onstage. I absolutely love their music tho.
