Your hair looks nice, what all did you put in it? I found a great mix: shea, cocount oil, aloe gel, gylcerin. opional bees wax for extra hold. You have to play with the proportions.
Check out on youtube "Homemade Flaxseed (Linseed) Gel for Curl Definion. You will like this better it is not greasy. Alos if you have not repented of your sins you will die in them and go to the lake of hell fire, so accept KING JESUS CHRIST and LIVE.
you can also add cornstarch to remove some of the "greasiness". I do that for my shea butter mix for my sons hair and it works great. His shea butter is about 6-8oz and I add 3-4 Tablespoons of cornstarch.
that's a thought- If I EVA (yes "eva") try and do that again lol. I have a regime now of doing my hair every 6 days- using my KBB or my Oyin's conditioner to co-wash. my herbal rinse. then KCKT and KCCC (just alittle) let it dry alittle- then I pull it back into a clip for most of the day (letting it dry naturally). After it's dry, I wear my hair in a low puff to sleep and spritz it in the morning w/ Juices & Berries release it and add a dap of Oyin's Whipped pudding- out the door in 5 min!
That would require me using some type of heat- either a blow dryer or flat iron- and I don't want to put any heat on my hair- after I suffered permanently straight hair from simply blow drying it straight. Sorry ;-(. I will say that it despite how thick my hair is- it gets straight very easily.
I mixed 1/2 Aveda Leave In Conditioner (Elixir) and 1/2 vegetable glycerin - leaves it shiny, soft, and keeps the curls from tangling on each other. I also put castor oil on my ends (they were damaged as a result of coloring and will tangle on each other if you don't keep them moisturized. You can use another creamy leave-in conditioner if you can't find Elixir
It's a shea butter mixture- shea butter is not that great for my hair- it just sits instead of absorbing into the hair shaft- I've decided to leave concoctions to the experts. but that's for the compliment- my hair is happier :)
it was this shea butter hair whip- a mixture of shea butter, vegetable glycerin, aloe vera gel, coconut oil, jojoba oil, honey, and a couple of drops of lime and grapefruit oil. my hair was a greasy mess! voce fala portuguesa?

you should show a video of your hair when it is not curly so people can make the difference between when it's curly and not.

When you go back to the health food place, ask for xanthum gum. It will change the consistancy to a creme or lotion even.
