  • @nelliemuller -- absolutely, we are in the midst of wrenching the English language from the grip of staid, conformist, panties-in-a-twist, keep-it-safe tradition and placing the power to communicate in the hands of people who have something to say (besides "let's conform to how the grammar books dictate we have to speak")--that's what Web 2.0 and citizen journalism conspire to do. Sheesh. What one expects is not what one is likely to find if one is open to the growing dialog.

  • I would expect an educator to use less slang. Are we in the midst of transforming the English language?
