  • Read the book in my Sociology class... I began to tear up at the end of the book. Watching the last scene of the movie and watching this make me want to cry even more. This book taught a life lesson. More than one in fact, it taught me to love, to care, to not judge, and many more, but the last one I think is most important, is to forgive. Morrie taught me so much, and he's dead. That's a true hero. Still teaching once he's dead, boy he must have been a great living teacher... RIP MORRIE!

  • He is so right that ego and vanity keep us from compasion, love, and responsibility for ourselves and others. So many of us are consumed with money, things, status, and looking and acting cool that we miss it all.

  • His soul will RIP - He is a man full of life and has allowed me to appreciate life even more. I love you Morris

  • Watching this is a blessing. I read the book for a novel study and some of the questions were really hard to answer I played morries recordings in the back round so i could here his voice to give me inspiration.

  • 2 pessoas não leram o livro

  • I sit reading the book and it's just so hard to believe that what I'm reading is real, that it really happened. Now watching and seeing it happened.. it just gets to me. No one deserves this to happen to them.

  • Morrie is so sincere, so genuine which makes his a pleasure to listen to in spite of the sadness around his situation.

  • Ah I just finished reading the book, nd looking at these videos ah, just made me cry more

  • Just finished this book for Summer reading, "Tuesdays with Morrie" Taught me alot, don't take thinks for granted. Live life by the fullest, Make peace with the living and, "Love other or Perish" - in the word of Morrie Schwartz.

  • Morrie taught me plenty. I never spoke to him, never saw the man in person, and hadn't heard of him until I was just assigned Summer Reading at the end of school. But, he still taught me quite a bit.

  • I love you Morrie. Thank you for your words. I keep crying and crying/

  • To the people who are farting on about the '1 dislike': perhaps you should re-read 'Tuesdays with Morrie' or watch the clip again. You all seem to have missed the point by a mile

  • no superhero is better than morrie. These videos of morrie made me cry so much.

    MORRIE IS THE BEST

  • There's a typo- "1 dislikes" should be "0 dislikes".

  • Watching this made me cry

  • @BuildSIP so wats the purpose?

  • @ninibel917 to show what this man went though and to show how strong and wise he was though it. it is not a journalists job to help a man who is dying, it his his job to show the world his story.

  • ok ether the one dislike on this video was from a person with a heartless soul who lost everyone in life he or she has ever loved and lost faith in anything and everything...im guessing all he or she had left to love was a dog that probably got hit by a car and he or she just hates everything now....or this person just meant to click like and had a spasm of the hand and ended up clicking dislike. i'm hoping its the second scenario...

  • who is the ass hole that disliked this

  • Ted Kopel is such an ass

  • @Tommio14 i agreeeee!

  • @Tommio14 He's a reporter and Morrie knew what he was going to ask

  • :/ His teachings changed my fucked up view of life. I hope this will continue.

  • He was a great teacher. For Mitch for me and for all the other people who loved him.

  • Tuesdays With Morrie

  • did he ever make his book?

  • Truly a legend

  • Just watching this put me into tears. this strong man who is a role model to many couldn't even put on glasses. Though his body was tired, his soul was still strong and my favorite quote says "my feets is tired but my soul is rested". (from the segregation period) This is Morrie. Morrie was weak and struggling but was a man with a strong heart and soul. Rest in Peace in Morrie!

  • i read this book and cried all the way to the end of it

  • I honor this man. I'm only thirteen and reading this book and can easily say by the end I will have learned stuff mor important than I'll learn in school. (unfortunately these are not the lessons you need to survive on the real world)

  • @joebob701 of course there lessons to have in the real world if people took in these lessons more and put them to use the world would be a better place

  • @joebob701 if people applied it to "the real world" the world would be a much much much much better place

  • Tuesdays With Morrie is the best book that I've ever read, and it's the first book that made me cry...

  • what a wonderful man RIP morrie you've touched us all...

  • i love Morrie !!

    he's a good soul ...

  • I'm gonna remember that whenever I feel awkward or undignified- that our dignity comes from within ourselves. That's profound.

  • RIP Morrie, your my hero!<3

  • He is my hero for sure

  • Is this the real Morrie in the past?

  • @d789456123851208 yes, it's the real Morrie

  • he's just trying to show to e world no matter how what pathetic state you're still you will live your live to the best. he was a man with so much heart.

  • This the most amazing man I've ever known even though I've never met him. RIP Morrie ...you have lived on through all of the lives you've touched <3

  • what a touching person. I readt his book and he is a amazing influence on me and RIP morrie, and now i appricate my life so much more

  • i'm reading the book on him and i cried my eyes out. this just made me cry more

  • i feel very sad for him. He has to have someone feed him, and he knows it, but he can do nothing about it.

  • R.I.P you are amazing

  • ur just how i pictured u morrie... i love you ! rip..

  • aww<3

  • what an amazing man,

his words and the book Tuesday's with Morrie has impacted my life in a very powerful way.

  • Ted Koppel is evil.

  • This was the best book. I LOVED it so much. It made me cry... It's so inspiring.

  • One paragraph in Tuesdays with Morrie that stands so true after seeing this lesson was and I quote " We must learn to die, before we learn how to live, so important that he said it twice.

God bless you Morrie for you are now with that higher power

  • I can't even bare to watch Morrie try to put his glasses on.

  • how can you not bare to watch him try to put on his glasses. He himself has accepted this stage in his life, no why can't you?

  • Because I can't..

I'm glad you can but I myself, cannot.

  • so you cannot bare reality?

  • No you ass, I can't bear it because I feel bad for him. Sorry I feel bad for someone who is terminally ill and can't put his glasses on. I know he isn't ashamed but pardon me for feeling bad for him, lay off.

  • no need to call me an ass, u clearly do not respect philosophy, i will lay off you, but i just need to tell you that i know pain and loss, do not judge me, just respect that people face death and impairment to their daily lives because thats life, we live and die, do not feel sorry for ones who have lost, because they already know they have, im sorry, i truly am i didnt mean to be offensive, but u cleaarlt r defensive.

  • ...I will feel sorry for people who have had loss. I don't understand why that is the wrong thing to do, and yes I have experienced loss as well and it's normal to have people care and feel bad. Just because people know they have lost someone important in their life does not at all mean people can't be there for them and feel bad..thats ridiculous to say. No I'm getting upset because my saying I feel bad for someone clearly offends you, and we have different opinions about it so just let it go.

  • i don't understand your defensive nature, but do not confuse sympathy, with pity.

    peace out

  • How funny I was going to say the same thing to you. I don' pity him, I have empathy for him. If you don't know the difference go look it up. I'm sorry you don't know why people get defensive when they have different opinions and I'm not going to just agree with you and forget about it and I'm going to try and prove my point.

    Yeah, goodbye.

  • p.s i've enjoyed this conversation.

its been on my mind more than i thought it would.

  • ..Happy for you.

  • maybe by respecting this man you can respect his last words he wanted for everyone. love everyone or perish!

  • i don't think it was exploiting at all. because if you've read the book, he says he would have felt like ted was using him but then again he was using him to get his words out about ALS too.

  • I do not mean to cause controversy, but does anybody else think there might have been a degree of exploitation in Ted's "glasses test"? This shows to me that they may have intended to make Morrie's exit something for "public viewing." I have enjoyed watching these, but they have been incredibly difficult, and touched me throughout.

  • people like Morrie show me the light in my life, the courage to move on and a tremendous positive power of love

  • i'm in tears.. i'm reading this novel in spanish and it broke my heart. its an inspiring book and i loved it. couldnt hold the tears. i still cant believe its morrie!

  • im a 6'0 gym rat (im big for my race) and a known tough guy, but this book made me cry, the only book that made me cry so far..

the scene where he cant put his glasses on.. heartbreaker..

i hope morrie was my teacher.. teacher to the last indeed

  • I just finished the book and decided to visit youtube and see if I could find anything. I never thought I'd be able to see the real morrie. I truely loved that book. It makes you really think about all you can do in the world with what you have now. Best book I've ever read and always will be.

  • What an Amzing person, we should all hope to live with these ideals. If we did imagine the world we would have.

  • We had to watch this tonight in my Development PSYCH class.. If we do not learn anything from him. Please watch it again and understand live for the now.

  • immortal!

  • I just finish reading "Tuesdays With Morrie" by Mitch albom today. It was a requirement for school to read over the summer. Once I began reading this book Friday night I could'nt stop myself. Now I look at life in so many different aspects. Now I know that I should'nt take life for granted because you can be diagnosed with a fatal illness any day. Morrie taught me a lesson and he was'nt even my teacher. Thanks Morrie you're great!

  • i bought the book yesterday

    and finished it today

    i cried so hard

    the same happened to me

    i soak everything in

and i look at life with such a different prespective

in the book you feel like you are the student

it was by far one of the most amazing books i have ever read

  • @YogiBear011 I know how you feel. It was the same feeling for me i just thought it was going to be some lame book i had to suffer though for school. I was really wrong this book was amazing

  • when he tried to put his glasses on...i just broke down so sad to see

  • yeah,i know what you mean.

actually i felt like yelling "help him!"

    well,he did help.

  • We have a body and we have a soul Our body gets worn and torn but our soul is forever

  • i wish i couldve met him... he's amazing

  • Me too...Maybe we can be so lucky to meet him in the next world. I hope we can.

  • i am soo moved by the book, and these videos.

  • morrie is beautiful

  • What Morrie is doing is very brave... talking about something we'll all surrender to... death...

  • Yes he is one of the greatest men in history

  • i just read thebook and its simple beautiful

  • 2:05-2:20

    beautiful

its really unfortunate that some people can't understand that

  • 2:05-2:20, absolutely beautiful

its really too bad there are people out there who can't understand that

  • Only if everyone was like Morrie.

    R.I.P Morrie.

I will never forget your words.

  • i just finished the book about 20 minutes ago and i HAD to find out more on this man. he is so inspirational.

  • He is very inspirational. I'm doing the same thing. I finished the book last night. H now runs free as a Gazelle.

  • loved the book by Mitch Albom.

Morrie, you are one hell of a guy, RIP.

  • I consider Morrie Schwartz one of my personal heroes, though I have never met him or heard of him before his death. I read Tuesdays with Morrie every once in a while after having gone through with a highlighter and an open mind. He is an amazing teacher, a man who could really touch your heart and teach you what is valuable in life, if you only take the time to pay attention to what he has/had to say. God bless Morrie Schwartz.

  • Touching...moving...emotional.

  • If you haven't done so, you must read the book by Mitch Albom. I was bawling my eyes out by the end, but it has such important lessons to it and should be required reading for all ages!

  • He made Ted cry. That is emotional in a lot of ways but this man was amazing. Morrie Schwartz.

  • WOW amazing intreview ...
