I just saw a news item on Yahoo that says "Putin confirms he will remain Russia's primary leader". I've been waiting to see if Putin would abide by Russia's constitution on term limits and depart the scene after his two terms were finished...like happens in every other civilized democracy. But, it appears he won't. This arrangement with Medvedev is nothing but a fig leaf designed to allow Putin to retain power. Here we go with another Russian dictatorship. Stand by for Cold War II.
