Inflation will always exist, in fact it's good for economies to have a 1-3% inflation rate so prices will end up going up. But what makes you think the prices won't go up (at least significantly) in the next 10 years.

In any case why not get a newer more fuel efficient car? You will spend even less on gas...

Eventually yes however not as much as the past 5years because that was a fake inflation where some profited greatly. I say this because from 1980-2000 inflation was constant then the next 5 it destroyed the normal inflationrate. Nothingoffset the balance. If you want an accurate result take the inflation rate from the past 20 years and estimate it for the next 20.U Wont get the stupid price they charged us this year. I would estimate it to be anywhere from 70-80 cents /liter.
