What is the exact lug end width, and what is the model of that rubber strap etc?
Wait... you mean that Morgan said that about the Marinmaster, I wouldn't have thought he'd even know or care about them? It wasn't clear and you've got too much racket going on in the background.
@zoznack hardlex is more shatter resistant than sapphire. this is a true divers watch, as such, having a crystal that wont shatter if it hits something underwater is more durable. the only trade off is that its more prone to scratches. you can get the crystal replaced with sapphire tho. aftermarket of course
@lambofpaul I didn't know that. As a desk diver, I guess I would prefer a saphire crystal, but with this watch it doesn't matter too much. Of course, I should have known that Seiko would know what their doing when creating a true diver's watch. Thanks again.
you need NOT to change it to sapphire... the crystal lays lower than the bezel, so if you hit something you'll probably hit the bezel... I always knock my watches around, but never had my MM300's crystal scratched up...
Nice watch... I got newer seiko but man looking good.

I actually like the watch, but would say that it needs refinishing in satin... buy a satin finish wheel from Otto Frei and do it... NOW!

Why would such a high-end watch not have a saphire crystal? Even some of Seiko's cheaper models have saphire.

Beautiful watch, great review. Love that its all nice and scratched up, it kind of gives the effect you're a diver and its been seriously used.
