Embetey is a word refers to some one who want to give more credit or value to his a "respected wife".
some one who want to show a respect to his wife and called her Embetey. Yes, in all Tegray. This requires basic discussion on language. But due to the word limit, it is difficult to explain. In general, the embeitey word is the out come of dialect variations created by geography, settlement & other social factors. Even though Addiss Amharic is different than Gojam, there is only 1 Amharic. This applies to Tegrigna, too. Embeitey is a title word for a respected woman but can be used to reflect affection. If further example is needed, ask native Tegrigna speaker.
