  • Ummmm...is it true that Buffy left SS cuz she and Sheldon had split up and the writers thought kids back then wouldn't understand about divorce? I didn't grow up with her on the show so these clips are nice to see :)

  • It's amazing we went from something like this to Jack Black trying to find an octagon.

  • This is my most loved sesame street song, especially the Indian feel and the lady.

  • I love this. Reminds me of when I was a kid, I always wanted to be on Sesame street, sometimes I even cried about it secretly. God bless my childhood, Amen

  • I am so happy to see this posted!!! I was looking for it over a year ago, and couldn't find it!!! I love Buffy!!! Chi Megwetch, Buffy!!!

  • i probably thought she was CHER when i was a kid. CHER used to look more Native American than she does now after all that dam lifting. This woman is a legend here

  • Fantastic! She's educating children about the spirit of Nature itself.

  • I would love to play this on the guitar, is there sheet music available?

  • cool

  • she is canadian come from Saskatchewan she a great singer! wish people try stay on possitive side .

  • Thank you Buffy St Marie. I love this song. Always.

  • Is this the "Theme From Room 222" with lyrics?

    This was quite enjoyable.

  • i love Buffy Sainte Marie

  • She's certainly not Indian - your geography isn''t up to much. Nor is she "Native American - her people lived upon the land you stole thousand of years before anyone thought up the name "Ämerica". Her name - if she needs any - is your problem and her right.

  • Can anybody here post a video on how to make a mouth bow? Or this drum?

  • @caholaway um, you tie two ends of string to a stick?

  • amazing Buffy. your my idol

  • Buffy has always been soooooo beautiful, inside and out.

  • this is so nice

  • I liked the indian chant at the beginning.

  • @muppetfan33 lol did you like the 'indian' singing the whole 'indian' song too?

  • @muppetfan33 sorry, I just found your comment funny... like if a black guy was humming some jazz at the beginning would you have referred to it as the "black humming"? No disrespect intended, peace.

  • @FacelesswithEyesOpen None taken.

  • @muppetfan33 Native/Indian. :P

  • Any idea who wrote this song? Is it something modern or an old Native American chant? It is heavenly.

  • Very enchanting.

  • I remember this one well and have been waiting it for a long time. Thanks Sesame Street!

  • I really really love this

  • I haven't seen this clip in over twenty years, but it's exactly like I remembered! Thank you so much for bringing back happy memories for first generation Sesame Street baby. :)

  • Thank you for sharing this. The singer is Buffy St. Marie, a pop singer in the 1960s. This performance was on Sesame St. in the early 1980s and possibly before that.

  • Such a pretty song, and so simple.

  • Fantastic! Finally, the "other" version (vs. Olivia's) is posted. I wonder what year this was done. Which version was broadcast first? The musical accompaniment sounds the same for both versions. Is there a recorded version of this available?
