  • I have a PS3 but when I read the comments all I see are comments of xbox fanboys and PS3 fanboys fighting amongst each other. for gods sake, its a game console. anyway PC owns all:)

  • "OMG! THE GAME ROOM SUX! YOU HAVE TO PAIII MONEYZZZ! LOLZ"

Heh... come on! Stop being so damn stingy. 50 cents for one play really isn't bad. As a matter of fact, it's quite surprising Microsoft made it so cheap. Look at intensity for example. 1 dollar for 1 play there, and no one complains about that? No. You know why no one complains? Because Intensity isn't run by Microsoft, so those PS3 fanboys don't bother trying to say whatever they can to put it down to make themselves happy. Let it go.

  • really awesome thing i think its kinda fun to make youre own arcade

  • how the fuck do you play games on this thing?

  • @p0tazzium I dont know either. I even tried searching on website. found nothing.

    Boooo.

  • The whole reason this is suppose to be cool is that you can compete with all your buddies on xbox live. They advertise 2 player online but I have yet to find out a way to do this. Im thinking there are still a lot of bugs to be worked out.

  • @Milesondeth

As far as I know, mulitplayer can only be done locally. They may enable online play in the future.

  • @ChicoEdge

Yeah that kinda defeats the purpose of have an online arcade...

Oh Microsoft.... how could you screw up something simple

  • @Milesondeth

The funny part is that so many older games like TMNT have online play. Part of me wants to blame Krome but how could Microsoft overlook this?

  • Game Room is so lame. You have to buy the games.

    Emulator anyone?

  • No offense but this is worse than Playstation Home. If I wanted to download those arcade games I would get a emulator for FREE and plug in a controller on the Pc.

  • @Prygst Xbox live provides the game room and two game add ons for free

  • I downloaded this 360 gameroom.. and how the hell do you level up on there... to get come items and themes you have to be a certain level but how do you level up?

  • I'm getting this although its kind of gay that you can't actually walk around the arcade :(.

  • never mind i know wat mp is

  • wats mp

  • Wooooo! It's comin out on my b day ps does it cost any m.p

  • No it's free.

  • @zrod77

no. but the games cost 240 MS points a pop for 360 or PC, and for both it costs 400.

  • @zrod77 no maybe

  • @zrod77 only costs money to buy the arcade games and the mascots, the decor is free

  • how can i download that?

  • 3/24/10

  • Im excited for this your all missing the point ... its old school games and you compete for the best score out of our friends list and you get achievements thats a plus ... i always have to omake sure i am number one in any of my friends list on any xbla games .. thos this be coo

  • This is fucking stupid , its nothing like Home. Also why use a useless app like this if i can just open the game from the dashboard?

  • idiot its not trying to be like home, home is like where u hang out with friends in a virtual space, game room is just where u play classic games

  • since the "game room" has an arcade look. Why dont they bring Killer Instinct as a playable game? their showing shitty games

  • You retarded? Did you not read the entire post? I said it's a good idea. Just need to see how it plays out.

  • It's free. Though free or not pretty useless, since the games included into Game Room or not :S

  • PS3 Home is a fuckin joke - Just for ppl who have no friends....

  • you,re right i don,t even use in the one time i did people where adding me in i did not even know them.lol

  • Sounded like a good idea but charging people for this? It's almost as ridiculous as buying virtual clothing for your Xbox avatar.

Why pay for something you can get for free on pc?

  • If i wanna play that shit i will buy an old snes for 50 dollars.

  • I like it. But what if I already have some of these games on XBLA? Does that mean I will already own the game w/the cabinet? Or do I have to rebuy the game now? Will some of the items you use to decorate rooms need to be purchased or will they be won by playing games like trophies?

  • You can't even walk around? geez that's lame.

  • lame, why? who wants to run to every arcade machine to play for a minute?.. LOL go play your lame PS home XD hahah

  • whts the point of having a game room without being able to walk around in it?

  • the point is to give the player a retro feeling like in the old days where you went to the mall to play these games on arcade machines. "Gameroom" will have 1000 games.. after 5 mins 90% of the users would be bored of walking to every single Machine.. thats why they made it simplistic.

  • oh... :P

but an option to do so would be nice

  • yes a option would be nice. Maybe the will add this option.

  • @blackdevil4589 first off, only owned 360, (3 actually 2 died.. lovely huh). Secondly it'd be nice to interact with the crap you buy, they mentioned things floating around like centipedes etc, yeah it'd be nice to see it from more than 1 angle, since I'd be paying $2-$5 for it.

  • Yeah, I think that'd be fun to be able to walk up to each cabinet and stuff.

  • no.

  • ...Why?

  • yea it would

  • Good video. Customising looks fun, the problem is the price. Would have been good as a freebie for gold members but games cost 240-400 to own and 40 to play once. Not worth it in the slightest.

  • Can they go fullscreen?

  • WTF? The 360 has had classic arcade games for download on Xbox Live before the Wii and PS3 were even launched.

This sevice will offer 1,000 titles over 3 years (30 at launch) and you can build your own arcade with original looking cabinets and invite your friends in to play. You can also play them on a PC and earn achievements on your gamertag.

The Wii and PS3 have absolutely nothing like this, apart from the few naff arcade games in HOME that you have to queue up to play.

  • Like I said, Live has always had classic arcade games. Galaga, Frogger, Joust, Time Pilot and Gauntlet being a few examples that were all available in 2005 and 2006.

  • who care?

  • @funkinlesson Beautifully said. It is unique and interesting. Those PS3 fanboys just don't want to accept it. :)
