I have a CNC motor controller 3 axis Toshiba TB6560AHQ and 3 BS57HB56-03 Stepper Motors but when I power up the systems after while my motors “gets hot” without using them (in non operational mode) is that any normal?
Do you know if Mach3 v R1.83 can work with USB to Parallel port converting pluck? Because I have a laptop with no Parallel port so I bought a USB to Parallel port converting plucks "any suggestions welcome"
The excitement in making a cnc table is the process and when it is finish to make chips. I worked in the cnc field and seen a bunch of different styles of equipment during my career so I had a decent idea as to make one and have built two with the framework mostly from wood. I use a high speed delta router and 3/4" 16 ball screw on X and Y with 1/2 10 on Z. Rails are 3/4" and 1/2" bar stock with bearing bushings from McMaster Carr. I use Mach3 with Vcarve Pro.
Yes, at least for MACH3 has to be a parallel to parallel, anyway any PC has a parallel port, and since laptops are not the good to use with it, you have no problem in getting a computer good to use with parallel port.
It shits me every time you open a video of a homemade cnc and some idiot asks how much?? do some fricking research! Thats what Google for!! I have spent the last 6 months researching homemade cnc, besides, how long is a piece of string??
Nice machine! looks solid.

Would an usb adapter into parallel port work for a cnc machine?
Or does it have to be just parallel into parallel?
nuzzget 2 years ago
no, its too slow
