How To Replace The Laser Diode in the Laser Housing

They do sell the burning laser diodes, but it's not that easy to just put a laser diode in a AIXIZ.Dust can destroy a laser diode and preasuure from the vise while putting the diode in the AIXIZ can destroy th diode too. To add to that, if u break the diode, u don't get refund.

why not just buy a laser and housing etc which burns from aixiz? Do they not sell laser diodes which burn?

@SuperZenozeno sorry about that, I was just looking around for good laser videos and I kept seeing people spelling laser lazer and I was sick of it so I can here and it just pushed me over the edge, I was going off 2 days without sleep, and way too much coffie, I didn't even check who i was sending it to.

@barrasin1 Hi sean, i know i'm not tingawings but what you wanna do is take two AA batterys and test the diodes and whatever one puts out a red light is the one you want, not a tiny red light but the bright one.

@aragao23 yes just remember if you extract it from the Aixiz module do NOT touch the front as even dust can destroy them.

you forgot to mention, you have to solder a driver circut on the diode. otherwise the diode will burn itself out really quickly! even of 2 aaa batterys you can get power spikes up to 10 times the power of the batts for a second, and thats what kills them!

@matyus111 the video wasn't about how to make a proper dvd laser. it was how to take out the old weaker diode and put in a new one. However you are right building any laser requires a proper laser driver. I recommend a daedal circuit laser driver. just google "laser driver it can be done" (use "i'm feeling lucky") to reach a page with very great instructions on how to build a lm317 driver and why you add each component.
