@karlinngustafinn well what I'm trying to say is that there's nothing wrong with either approach. My 2 favorite bands are AC/DC and Mastodon (in that order). What can I say, sometimes you just need to be able to count on a band to continue making a particular style of music so others still have places to go.

Also, I do get pissed off when bands change for more money, but then u gotta start drawing lines and questioning motives... Somehow KISS stayed the same AND sold out... go figure

The biggest difference over the past few decades with regards to metal is the importance of the instruments over the vocals,nowadays most of the time the guitars and drums are the main focus with the vocals being pushed way back, riffing has become more intricate and (in my opinion) more interesting in many cases and hey at least we are over that nu metal phase that riddled the 90's.not that the current metalcore one is much better.
