bought this today from steam and was very very dissapointed the graphics are worse than the xbox version "how" and the handling is worse than xbox version i can even use a xbox xontroller for it and the handling is appaling the braking is just stupid you have to brake way to early and the stearing is impossible without either twitching left and right or spinning waste of money in my opinion i love codemasters for the dirt series and f1 but sorry guys you let me down with grid ill stick to dirt!

Only good thing about this game was the helmet cam, far better than Shifts wobbly mess. But this game was defiantly nothing special, just another blurry, over sensitive crash fest.

@ondd1 I found that when I started but you can adjust it to be less sensitive. It all depends what style of game driving you like, I personally liked GRID a lot but normally go for the arcade style driving games like NFS Most Wanted and Undercover.

This is BY FAR the worst driving game ive ever played. Driving in this game is like playing pinball. The cars are extremely hard to control. On the easiest difficulty the Le Mans Race at the end of each season is almost impossible to win and you need the money from it. One hit from another car will send you flying into a wall and its race over. Soo dumb. Fucking MONKEYS designed this game.

The audio in Grid was terrible in my opinion. The cars were so damn quiet and lifeless. It's time for these video games to get out of last gen sound and start putting in some effort. It remains today that Project Gotham 3 and 4 have the best sounding cars to date.

grid IS without a doubt the best RACING game of all time. u dont get races with this sort of excitement on any other game. gran turismo is very good but the damage system is very poor. dirt (2) is good but ott arcade and going off cliff doesnt total u. nfs is shit and far too easy.

It's easier than forza, yes. But you say it asif Forza isn't arcade. Forza is arcade. Try a real driving simulator like iRacing, rFactor, LFS S2, or even the GT5 Academy demo is much more realistic and difficult than forza.

I wouldn't class Fortza as arcade. I realise its not as in depth as the true driving sims but it still takes some getting into. Grid is pick up and drive like a pro straight away. I have played Rfactor at my brothers with steering wheel. its very good!

Although that is some good driving, get a steering wheel. I use a wheel, drive locked to head view, and with all assists off and it's not really that hard.

On the hardest difficulty, the computer can take the widest fastest lanes and have no trouble. It's like they don't use brakes at all. It seems like the player is the only one that's doing all the work. I drive with zero aids and it seems like the computer drives with all their stuff turned on.

Yep, it will enhance your racing skills immensely. It is very unforgiving in Grid though. I think turning is the greatest challenge to overcome with all aids turned off. Thanks for the support too. :-D I think a steering wheel would probably be the best solution for the difficulty of handling the car without aids on.

I have never seen grid's gameplay until now. I am amazed that people have actually been calling this a sim! Wow! This is purely arcade, it might be fun, but don't call it a sim, ever. If you like it that is great, but try a real sim like something by simbin or LFS and you will be shocked at how much harder it is.

Dude, I play REAL sims with all assists off at all time no exceptions. It is probably hard for you to believe though being an arcade racing fan, believe it or not there are people that can play real racing sims without the assists on, even to drift! It is actually not even that hard, it takes little skill compared to getting very good consistent track times. What makes you think you know my skill with racing sims?

Are you using keyboard? I set my brakes to the down axis of my joystick. I don't have a steering wheel setup. I quite like it though. I compete with some good drivers online with steering wheels.

Grid is crap. Bought it today because Dirt 2 was out of stock and wish i hadn't! Taking it back first thing tommorow.

Where do i start!

1. No SLI support

2. Needed 3rd party patch to get it working

3. Lame handling

4. No supprt for xbox controller as stated

5. Overheats the single GPU that it allows to work on

6. Graphics are generally gay
