@Treviabot92 Yeah, I sequenced the drums in FL but I always mix in Adobe Audition 1.5 [I've got into this habbit of using Audition cuz the uni I was at used it for most things] : )

I just learned all the individual keyboard parts originally composed by Uematsu, except on guitar. So I basically learned it all by ear and jus recorded each part one at a time.

I have an effects pedal board for most of the effects, for everything else I just used my recording software. The drums are a copy of the synth drums on this piece except I used a sampled rock kit from 'fruity loops'.

Why does it say 'composed by Nobou Uematsu' at the end? Is this a re-mix of his melody, or all your own work?

I thought that it was cool, the drums were manic and the guitars were suitably dirty. You could maybe have done more to sync it up to what was happening on the screen, though - - - like when he paused and then was in mid air, you could have latered the pace/volume a bit?

Looking forward to seeing more, though!!

Yeah, its basically me playing a rougher-edged version of his music. Thought it would be a nice idea.

Am now looking at completely re-wroking through bits of footage since our conversation in Bristol, this was kind of for my own amusement really.

I suppose it was quite chicken to play it safe and not redo the music - the purist fans would eat my balls.

You should search up the original scene on youtube and contrast it to my version :)
