i have cash, and i, too, am using my girlfriend's account. where do i buy a dirty beaches album? this is like flying saucer attack on the west coast of canada, how beautiful is that? better yet, when is dirty beaches coming around the gta? i'll get my album then..
@JoBot28 im not too sure if they would have it, but you could go check in Sonic Boom if you live on Toronto. It's located just 1 block south Bathtrust station man.
@whateverhte hi, the bongo drums is a sample from a drum machine called chamberlin, which was the first drum machine ever made on tape loops. Its available digitally on the internet as sound files, and I slowed down the pitch, added basslines, and electric guitar w/reverb.
@zoekg1 hey man, if you're dirty beaches, thanks for the answer & even more for your music, and video work, which is what turned me on before seeing you live. your videos are beyond cheap wkw- as i and my wkw-lover friends call him- homage. your whole project is truly in the spirit of in the mood for love, days of being wild or even edward yang's brighter summer day- everyone, see it- in embodying lost pop memory with true love, no easy irony, but questioning the complicity of nostalgia.
@zoekg1 (by which i just mean i dunno how to describe it except comparing to cinema i love- sorry for my pretension in trying to explain- your music's so unlike the flood of indie nostalgia acts today, who stay complacent even if they scavenge from exciting sources. i know success couldn't make your stuff lose its truthful heart after hearing its sources of inspiration.)
@whateverhte hey sorry I replied using my girlfriends computer, without realizing that was her account. Thanks for the compliments man, it took me 6 years to get my music some attention, so my work ethics is not gonna be effected by the 5 mins of fame. As I'll keep my endeavors in music to what I think is worth pursuing artistically, and hopefully make some fucking cash while I'm at it. But I really appreciate the positive feedback man, it means a lot to me.

Great song. However, the lyrics are a bit hard to understand. In fact, I don't think I understood a single one of them.
