You can feed them a yeast soup which includes taking water from their enviorment/tank and adding a pinch*yes a pinch* into the water. Mix well and wait for a good 1 hour and then feed some water to the point that their tank becomes (hazy but not cloudy) in other words...able to see through to the other end with no problem but at the same time it has lots of whitish haziness in it.
The copepods were already in the pond and were collected along with the fairy shrimp. I've tried cultivating Daphnia (another type of freshwater zooplankton) but haven't had much luck with it...
