the arcade contra isn't bad... not quite as fun as the NES version, but the main problem with it is that you have LIMITED CONTINUES. to beat Contra arcade, you pretty much have to use the cheats (infinite lives), especially if you just want to go through it with 2 players. Ditto with Super Contra arcade
Man, i had never really got into the first contra, but used to have a commodore 64, there was a game called gryzor, and no kidding, the first stage was almost completely identical to that video, i was freakin out watchin that there O_O
Love your videos man, i recently got started with mame so me and my wee bro could play Dungeons and Dragons again... lol, we played it together like years and years ago in morecambe, it was only 10p a go!!!
These videos are sweet. Ive got mame, but didnt know half these good games existed. Keep em comin. PLease do all letters, i havnt time to play them all!!!!! I used to love Kung FU That would be my K
Short, but im glad youre still doing these. Unfortunately I didnt have infinite quarters in the heyday of arcades, so there was alot I missed out on. keep it up!
Thanks! Yeah, it makes some games totally different when you have infinite quarters. Games that used to be impossibly frustrating can now be enjoyed, which is pretty sweet.
Except in the many old school games where you have to start at the beginning whenever you die, no matter how many "quarters" you pump in. Grrr...
I am not really a fan of Contra 4 because Konami did not develop it themselves.

Actually SNK made Cyber Lip. Nazca Corporation made Metal Slug, until they were they were bought out by SNK in 1997.

Chelnov is quite original - you're always running.
Cyberlip is another good'un
Crack Down, I didn't like. I don't like the way the screen is divided up.
Contra - a classic of its type.

sad selection of games, you have no taste at all...except for Contra that was the only one worth watching.
I'm just saying, if you are going to waste your life playing games you should at least play games that are worth it.
