Well I have recently picked up #10+11 and #12 just today and I was totally 'wowed'! After only reading a few issues this book has crept into my Top 10. R.E.B.E.L.S. has got itself a new reader! :) Also can you guys review Super Hero Squad#1? I bought it today and enjoyed it. It's great to be a kid again! :)

Bravo to DC for giving readers reason AND incentive for checking out some of their lower selling titles. I'm a little hazy on the reasoning for the $3.99 cover price, but R.E.B.E.L.S. was awesome and we're selling the hell out of these ring books. Doom Patrol second printing next week?! Home run for DC editorial.

REBELS did have 30 pages of art. That's probably why it was $3.99.

True dat, but why the extra pages? I'm not comlaining, just curious. Booster Gold usually has the Blue Beetle second feature but didn't this time instead opting for a bigger Booster feature. Outsiders was also extra sized and extra priced this week but the other tie-in, Superman/Batman, was not.

I think the extra pages were to help people who have never read REBELS catch up with the story. It was a good call on DC's part to do that. This issue was the first REBELS book for the majority of people who bought it. Easing those readers into the story without overwhelming them was a smart thing to do. And hopefully people felt that they got a satisfying story and will stick with the title. Just my opinion though.

I guess my question was did DC build in the price of the rings with $3.99 books. Apparently they either gave you more pages or gave them free as was the case with Superman/Batman. PS...any comic store who sells the rings are sleazy.

I gotta say say Jose that I was really looking forward to getting R.E.B.E.L.S, out of all the Ring books it was the only one i didn't want just for the ring. And now i have it, have read it, and now have ask my comic book guy to try and find me all the back issues and put me down for all future ones. Same thing with Atlas as well I found at my store the last 3 issues and the two Vs X-Men ones......Jose please tell me why do they cancel these Good, nah, Great books. Does marvel have no brains?

No. The retailer pays for the rings so technically they can do whatever they want with them.

I have always been of the mind that we should thank our customers for choosing to shop at our store any chance we get but, you know, that's just me.

Awesome review but I would of put the OUTSIDERS as the DC book that's more akin to Agents of ATLAS, just because in my mind I can draw a few more parallels, maybe I'm crazy.

That is bullshit. Sounds like quite a few of you guys are getting screwed by your retailers. And yes, they are screwing you if they are not giving out a FREE ring with the BN comics we talk about.

I don't think my LCS is doing the rings. I ordered JLA for next week just so I could get a red ring. I got Adventure this week but no blue wring. Pretty sure I have the worst LCS in the world. They still don't have Batman: Widening Gyre 3 or Anchor 2.

thi is the first time i've read rebels and I thought it was pretty cool, different from most comic book heroes and teams. Unfortunately I have to wait a couple of days to get me rings cos my shop didnt get them sent to them.

rebels was surprisingly good, i dont think that any sincerely good book that doesnt have an a-list character sells as well as it should

andy clarke's art is great, although i hope he can get over that 1999 travis charest homage style eventually.

what i dont understand while i was reading this is, is vril dox able to bring fear? because i dont think hehas anything to fear or bring fear....anywaise i loved this book, i love this series and im glad others are able to share this with me and enjoy this!!!!!

What else can you say about Rebels.. it's just a great book.

The ring promotion is a cool idea, I can't believe there are shops out there not participating. I missed the yellow ring because Doom Patrol sold out at my shop, but I was told that DC has rush ordered a second printing, my LCS had also saved rings for that second printing for people who still need them.

That what the lady at my LCS told me, she holding on to enough rings to cover her order of the second printing, so hopefully everyone that gets the Doom Patrol reprint will still get the ring. So I will wait and see what happens.

I enjoyed the Hell of of this issue, too. That is great to hear that this, Doom Patrol and Booster Gold all sold out.

I couldn't get the Blue Ring this week. The store accidently ordered under the specified amount to get the rings. I got the Violet one though. The owners are hopeful they will get the Blue ones in though.

They are actually selling the rings at my store for a $1 each or free w/ purchase of the BN Tie-In issue. Which is reasonable.
