it only get flat spots when you stop completely perpendicular to the direction you're traveling. The way to keep that from happening is to either go just short of perpendicular or just rotate it barely past it back and forth. As long as the board isn't perpendicuar to the direction of travel, the edge wheels should continue to rotate.
hmm if u use the side wheels (the ones skateboards have) to stop then wouldnt it make a flat surface on them and create a bump in the wheel? When I skateboard I do something similar to this but it makes the wheels kinda oval shaped after a while:/ Guess you would just have to change your wheels lots
i tried it and i was so frustrated after like 30 minutes. then i went on youtube and watched some vids to get some tips, went back, after like an hour, i was riding without problems. snowboarding is much better though.
I really wanna pick one of these up, but my friend who is amazing at snowboarding said it really hard. has anyone tried one of these? are they hard? send me a message please with the answer!
it is really hard at first- but so is basically every other extreme sport. Ur snowboard experience will help but ur still going to have to learn the sensitivity of the edges
i think it relies mostly on how much pressure you put on your toes or heel. Im considering buying one of these. ill see if i can get back to you on this if i do.
oke cool. ;) I would like to have one too, but it won't work for me since I live in Holland. We don't have hills or anything. I hope the slowing down works for you ;) good luck.

I know, they say that in the vid too. But just look at how they slow down, they don't slow down quick.
