@TerrenceAnimation As i said in my last comment, it's all about the timing. What are you using to animate it with? And are you animating it on "one's" or 'two's? The main thing is to have him exaggerate his pose and hold it for a while so it would be worth definitely holding some of the poses for several inbetweens. I hope this is able to help. If you do need any advice i'll gladly try and help out as best as i can!
@GameGeek2112 I'm animating on Flash CS4. And I'm doing it on two's since it's a slow action. So I should draw my inbetweens really close to each other and make the movements small?
@TerrenceAnimation You could do either, I would probably recommend having quite a few inbetweens, but you could do either really. Just don't make sure the movements aren't too tight together or slow, it's good to have some ease in's and outs for these kind of animations.
@GameGeek2112 Thanks!! Animation is so fun. :D I've been doing it nonstop the past few days like at least 8-10 hours a day since it's summertime before I go to college. And every time there is something new to animate, it's a new challenge. I've been putting myself into the poses and actions I want my character to do and observing other people lately to get the feel for everything. I can't wait to show you when I'm done. It will be the first animation on my channel.
I like your animations! I'm in the process of making my own right now and the beginning scene has a guy yawning and stretching so this is really helpful. Thanks for making it. Do you want to be an animator like me?
@TerrenceAnimation Yeah I'm currently studying animation at university. Yawning was actually quite tricky as it's all about you getting the timings about right. I'm glad this video has been able to help you out.
Right now, my character looks like he is moving his arms to fast to be stretching. I need more inbetweens right?
