  • Apple is pushing macs more and more towards professionals

  • Only Macs can see the symbols

  • Does it come with cod4 because i saw the cod4 icon on the bottom

  • Apple iPad Public Giveaway.

Heres the link: applegiveaways.co.cc Thumbs Up if you got a iPad 2!

  • Im fine with no blue ray, im not a pc gamer, and i dont care about thunderbolt yet. My guess for how good its gonna be 8-9/10

  • Does it have a bluray drive?

  • macs are not good for gaming mostly because they don't support PC games unless you do something to them im not sure but if they are for work or anything like then that's the computer you want to buy

  • i own a windows based computer and a mac and i prefer a windows computer because how low price they are and there quality made plus ive been using them since i was 8

  • I certainly will get a mac for work in the future. I just can't stand fanboys talking about how mac is better than windows when they can only use itunes and the notepad, go to starbucks and pose as a novelist.

The thing mac is good for is with PROFESSIONAL stuff. Heavy stuff and reliability.

Windows and PC does everything else, cheaper enough.

    Fanboys should just stfu.

  • wait, did he just say the 1999 imac?

  • 2:29 they've installed CoD4 MW! YESSSS

  • Stupid review. You want to get a touch screen just because you can? What a dumb reason

  • touch screen? seriously? get an iPad

  • Why does all o cnet hate apple

  • im realy nervous about spending the money on an imac im not rich by any means and it is a lot of money to me. i am a pc fan and i love windows 7. i want to know if its realy worth it . they look realy cool and seem premium but t right now im on an nvidia 8800 ultra 768 mb pcwith an amd athlon x2 2.8 3gbs of ram with windows 7 home. its not a need its a want. should i spend the money

  • @toyota420xp Exact position as you bud...Need to read a million reviews before i even think about purchasing this beast lol

  • All the new iMac's EXTREMELY expensive, in swedish money it cost, like 18 000 or 20 000....

I'M SO THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE, when i got the money -_-

  • @TheAlien659 just steal it!

  • @arthurrvcat 'Steal' it? I like it, but how?

  • I HATE THOSE PEOPLE that keeps on comparing an iMac to Windows machine. I hate the fact that price is a big deal for them. May I remind everyone that iMac is an ALL-IN-ONE Computing Device meaning you have everything there! From webcam, speakers, display, etc. If you will compare the price of iMac vs Windows Machine. Please include everything. Dont just talk about the processor, rams, hdd prices etc. Include everything that an iMac have and build it to a windows machine then compare the price!

  • I brought an iMac

  • @KyleH1357 Where did you take it?

  • I always find the measure of these devices is how long it takes to make two perfectly browned pieces of toast, sadly missing from this review.

  • I went to the Apple Store yesterday and my dad was happy because I told him all the info about the Macs, iPods, and the iPad 2. He was so interested, he asked questions about it. The guy said it won't get viruses. :)

  • when he says professionals does he mean like graphic design and 3d modeling per say cause thats what i do.

  • @Swagdaddy777 Pretty much. Before iMacs were not the best for 3D modeling but the latest graphics cards they use allow for it quite well. Plus you can also install windows if needed for specific programs.

  • @MimiOnliine ITS STEVE JOBS

  • getting this in 2 days!

  • lawl! this has mobility gpu?! going with mac pro on this one. :/

  • I am 15 and I am thinking of getting an iMac, is it worth it??

  • @honeybear002 Yeah, my 13 year old has one and he loves it!

  • Hi, I have a question, I bought my 13 year old son an iMac for his Birthday it has 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD, an I on the other hand have a 12 core 32GB RAM Mac Pro, and we have the same stuff on there (I copied the stuff from mine to his) and they seem to work the same. Why is this? Everything loads up the same apart from the OS. Is there something wrong with mine???

  • @MrPlasticbagman12 No but you're dumb for buying so much useless parts..

  • @THATS1CK But I thought it would make it faster and that! lol, that´s me just waisted 6 grand.......

  • @MrPlasticbagman12 wow... the only reason to need parts like that is if you're running lots of CPU intensive tasks..

  • goddamn, nothing beats frikkin' apple, seriously. awesome performance, features, and just looks so damn good and sleek. people always talk crap about how apple is overly expensive but i was looking at dell the other day and they're the same damn price and not as good as specs as apple. or looks as good.

  • It's sad how they use mobile hardwares, given the price. I guess I have to wait until they come back stronger.

  • lol the IMAC has COD 4 installed

  • Steve Jobs, retard!

  • This is what am using now!:-) RIP Steve Jones

  • @MimiOnliine Steve Jobs dumbass

  • Was going to get one of these until it was revealed that many users are still having screen burn problems along with the wireless bugs that are making browsing an absolute pain. Apple have developed a rotten core this last two years - even their staff are admitting that build quality has been sacrificed at the altar of profit margin.

  • As he said it may not be good for gaming i'm still getting it. I mean with such HIGH PERFORMANCE AND GRAPHICS, i'd say it would be really good and awesome for when i play tf2

  • i bought this from apple yesterday its coming next month it cost me nearly £2,000

  • i hate apple and always will i showd my friend that bought the new imac this year how good a pc is and let him use mine and showed himm how good they are and now he hates his imac and usung it too and is going to sell it to buy a new pc.

  • it may not be a PC... but with a i7 quad core, amd radeon 6000 series graphics, and (hopefully) a ssd.... that thing is more than enough for gaming... 'cept for the price and the fact it's a mac

  • @iAkOu1 True, problem is that most game developers don't bother making games for macs.

  • brand new mac COMPARISON ON MY CHANNEL PLASE CHECK IT

  • My architects office is going to be kitted out with these. oh yeah!!!

  • I only care about touch screens on mobile devices, not desktop units that just sit there. Blu Ray drive, for someone who works for Cnet should know that physical media is going the way of the dinosaurs.

  • why does apple continue to ignore Hdmi -_-

  • NEW HD 6000 Series??? HAHAHAA!! Keep up with the times CNET, 7xxx are just around the corner.

  • thunderbolt= a usb but only for apple that lets you use 3 monaters ....... im pretty sure that already exists its quite easy to do :L

  • this computer is great for gameing ?

  • All you guys who talk crap like pricey and money sink, clearly haven't owned it.

or even tried it, and if so, you obviously are pc fanboys, or just too poor to afford it.

I was scheptical myself, but after trying it and feeling it at work, I say it loud; ITS WORTH THE MONEY

  • The only thing of Mac that's actually worth the price

  • pricey

  • Hey nice review- question though.. If you buy apps for your iPad will they work on your iMac? I'd appreciate a reply. Thanks

  • @Gibbon2097 the imac isnt a mobile device...

  • What does hyperthreading do?

  • @HU55UN1 Hyper threading allows a processor to perform multiple tasks at once. That is not the same as multitasking programs, it is more about multitasking computations.

  • I noticed there is no FW400 ports. I have a few external hard drives that are FW400. How would I be able to use those with an iMac? The rest of my drives are FW800 or USB2.0

  • @cre8tivity06 Just buy a FW800 to FW400 adapter from Amazon or somewhere else.

  • @britishmariobros Oh cool! I had no idea something like that existed! LOL!

  • @Oleqiqn I hear you!!! Don't get me started on Final Cut Pro 10! That was a disgrace! I have no idea why Apple won't include BluRay with any Apple computer for that matter.

  • its this the cpu that the imac 27 inches use ..the i7-2600 3.4 ? or its another..cuz.. its the only quad core i found. thx for the replay :D

  • What is the difference between the i7 chip and the Sandybridge?

  • @BiBobBoy77 it's a new architecture of the same processor. It's 2 times faster than all the other i7 and i5 chips available and it's only available on a mac

  • @GeorgeChar95 Sandybridge is not exclusive to macs. It is the next generation intels i7/i5/i3 chips and is designed to replace the exisiting P55 and X58 chipset with the newer P67 and Z68 chipset so non-apple computers use the new Sandybridge line of processors aswell.

  • hi i just bought mine and i was wondering how you tell if your on lion, i bought it today but i dont see launchpad and all that please help

  • @L3GITFIXIE allright. at the top menu click the apple logo and go to about this mac and it will say if it is 10.6 or 10.7.I think you have snow leopard.Go to an Apple Store and tell them about it.Because your imac is a new buy, you can ask to get OSX Lion Update for free.If you don't have an apple store in your country go to Apple.com and go to support and email apple about your issue. they should get you fixed

  • thumbs up if you like pressing the keys on those apple keyboards...

  • touch sucks

  • nice, lower half of your face

  • Could i buy a thunderbolt Blu Ray player?

  • Wait a second... did you just say you would pay MORE for a touchscreen windows PC? Last time I checked, 650 was NOT more than 2100. Look up your facts before you reccomend shitty computers, macfag.

  • @Mountaind3ws And PCs are not Macs...

  • @Maxxlenoxx And Macs are not Cars...

  • @Unstoppabulz And the guy in the video is not attracted to women...

  • @Mountaind3ws You sound like a guy who put 2k to upgrade a Honda Civic and claim he's faster than a Porsche.

  • I am dribbling

  • Lol At Cod4

  • i dont really care about blu-ray..its nice to have but it isnt going to change my mind on getting a mac

  • it sucks that it doesn't have blue-ray player.

  • is there a difference between its display and the new thunderbolt display? or is the thunderbolt display just the cinema display with the new thunderbolt channels? because i want to buy an imac and im not sure if i should wait until the new one comes out.

  • @mufguf this is the new imac... there wont be a new one for a while

  • @randomraretutorials Okay then what is logical about buying a mac? Pcs are better for less. Payed hundreds of dollars for the "no virus" thing is not logical. If you like the os of a mac better, there are ways to put it on a pc, saving you money and netting you performance. If you were to compare two identically priced computer (one a mac and the other a pc) The pc would beat the crap out of the mac. So name one good reason why macs are better.

  • does this one have FaceTime HD?

  • @Manny4Lakers yea

  • @naturestyleargentina You may use your brain to get the money, but to actually

contemplate the purchase of the imac, you forfeit the use of intelligence, thereby purchasing the aforementioned imac.

  • @shredder767 You may think that purchasing an iMac isn't logical. However just because you wouldn't buy it, doesn't make others stupid for buying it. Your opinion has never, and never will be the universal answer to everybody else.

  • I have a question with the imac do i need an ethernet cable to connect to the internet or is it wireless?

  • @Proxifys wireless

  • Macs are for people with more money than brains. Pcs are for people with more brains than money.

  • @shredder767 i use my brain to make great designs that gives lots of money and i can get my IMAAACCCCC

  • Just bought a iMac after being a windows user and I have non idea what this fella is on about. For professionals??? It wipes the floor with windows. If a average joe was to have a concept of a pc to do what he wanted to, easily and consistently, it'd be a mac.

  • Is it the camera? Or does that iMac have the yellow tint problem?

  • My sister has this and I had a go and I was like omg I want 1 for myself!!! :o xx

  • Shits cazy crazy

  • I don't like touchscreen computers..only phones and tablets so that's not an issue..I just love Mac though, never had an issue with one

  • Apple rocks

  • i so want one

  • They aren't built for gaming, however they can certainly handle, and at high levels as well. The only drawback, as mentioned in the video, is the relatively limited library of games for Mac. However this is being resolved with the release of Steam for Mac as well as the Mac App Store. In the future, Macs should be as viable an option for gaming as PCs.

  • @intilegantguy *...can certainly handle it, ...*

  • @intilegantguy People often make the mistake of comparing PCs to iMacs. First, an imac is an All-in-one, not a tower and a monitor. If you compare the iMac to PC All-in-Ones, the iMacs is the fastest all-in-one out now. The standard PC Tower and Monitor set up will always win in gaming, but considering the imac is an all-in-one, it is the best gaming machine out now. Plus alot of people fail to acknowledge the fact you can put windows 7 on the imac and play all the PC games you want.

  • I'm thinking of getting the 21.5inch iMac. I am wondering though, what is the audio latency like? Is it comparable to a PC with a high end sound card (e.g. from Creative)? So, if I was to use it for recording and producing music, would it work well, or would it require some sort of external sound card? It's hard to find specs for this. I understand what type of audio ports it has, and they are fine for my needs. It's the latency I'm worried about.

  • wtf we need PC ? .. Look at this . I thinc iMac is better than PC .. :))

  • @killerboyz5 LMAO

  • Apple has patented an iMac with a touchscreen, and a tiltable stand so you can use it at good touch screen angles.

If it was a 2012 iMac, it'd be cool. But I hope it's optional, I'd rather use a keyboard and mouse.

  • all you people ditch on pc's well all i have to say is go spend $1000 to $2000 on a peace of crap when you can build a pc thats good for anything and gaming. i would love to see a mac play games or program like a PC. so MACS go FYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @killerboyz5 wow, your an idiot. i got my iMac for gaming. i could have got an alienware for 1500 dollars, but no, i wanted the iMac because it has way more features, idiot

  • @killerboyz5 HEY!!!!!!!!!!! ALIENWARE SUCKS DICK!!!!!!!!!!!! ok why the fuck will you buy a alienware when you can build your on thats the same thing but way cheaper you fucking idiot. dont get me wrong i like MACS but they are not made for gaming thats why i stick with my pc. FUCKING RETARDED FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @killerboyz5 Wow, you are quite the asshole, aren't you?

  • I want a iMac rite now. PC stop making now apple are taking over

  • If you want to game on mac just instal windows in bootcamp.

  • @GatEntertainment you can also get Steam and buy games, but if you already have the disks, bootcamp is great, im going to get bootcamp for my gaming for youtube

  • I Think This Would Be The Perfect Computer For Me, Should Be Able To Afford It By Christmas Time. (I'm Ten)

  • @ussmidget i just got it yesterday, im 12, im sure youll love it

  • @MonkeyManWill Thanks, I have a question about the Mac: Do you need an add-on for Wi-Fi ? Or is it ready to use straight out of the box?

  • @ussmidget It's ready out of the box. You will simply enter the WEP key to Airport as you would when setting up a LAN on a PC. You will find that the Apple wireless is much more reliable as well, at least that has been my experience.

  • Looks pretty but that's pretty much it. I'd rather build my own for gaming, work, movies and pay less with better components. But to each their own.

  • how much is it?

    let me guess... $2000?

  • @prowned Let me guess... You're a non working bum.

  • the fastest all in one desktop computer

  • You lost me at touchscreen... Really?

  • @fkabarca i know, who would want a touchscreen all-in-one desktop! thats stoopid (lol).

  • okay guys guys the porn quality is awesome. i tryed it the apple store and lets just im banned from that store

but thumbs up so everyone can see

  • @xNuzzi did u copy this

  • @xNuzzi hahahahaha, i used the one in the corner so they didnt see me... just kiddng

  • @xNuzzi old joke mate, old joke.

  • how many imacs are there? WTF?!

  • Comment removed

  • @jack390 Two.

  • not having a touchscreen is a negative? dude, its a desktop. not a phone, not a tablet.

Who on earth would use a touchcreen on their computer for 5 hours? unless they are watching a moving and just hitting pause, nobody.

  • 1 person isnt a professional

  • im saving up :D for the 27" one and then im going to get all the Sims 3 and im getting all the video music and photo editing software :D

  • game with boot camp :)

  • Thanks for the review. I'm getting one of these myself later.

  • i wish it had audio and video so i can play ps3 on it tht would b sik but who cares im gettin the 21.5 in 1

  • I agree with you rambo19991 i can't understand why Apple don't add blu-ray and no option to upgrade to it.

  • Why they don't add blu-ray and no option to add it?

  • I have been looking for the benefits of the buying an apple computer for a long time. This is the first time I can understand the explanation of the new imac in lamens terms. Thanks.

  • to add to SuperTechExpert's comment. Parallel's overall NOW is better than bootcamp. cheers.

  • I think you guys are forgetting that you can use bootcamp and get windows 7 and mac os x so you can play a lot of games but still have mac

  • Comment removed

  • touch screen?! no thanks

  • i'd take this over a windows touch screen piece of crap anyday

  • While you guys are playing Macs, us big boys will be playing real games. Atleast we can swap out parts, yall are stuck with your current, or you gota buy a new one. GG

  • @AeonRequiem Not true. The parts can be swapped out. The only difference between a mac and a pc is the case and the OS.

  • @theprince08853 Only includes RAM, and HD or SSD if you are using one. And to do that you will either have to take it the Apple store or open the case by yourself and potentially void your warranty.

  • @ApFaqTech You can also change the graphics card if you wished. What else is there to upgrade? Yes you can open the case yourself... As is the same with a PC. There's nothing that can be swapped out on a PC and can't be swapped in a mac. The only difference is the operating system.

  • @theprince08853 If you have done your research, you would notice that the graphics processors that are on macs are mobile processors. The same type that are found in laptops. These chips are embedded onto the motherboard and cannot be removed. If you still don't believe me try it out yourself? Go out and buy and 6990 and try putting it into a Mac.You might have to spend quite a bit of time unsoldering the chip from the board.

  • @ApFaqTech I know what your talking about... integrated graphics cards, but I don't think that's the case with these new imacs.

  • @theprince08853 I know they have intergrated graphics boards that are removable but you still cant replace them with what is currently out in the market. If anything they were probably designed to be replaceable in case they blew out due to overheating.

  • @AeonRequiem Oh Yes!!!!! YOU'RE A "BIG BOY" because you play "REAL GAMES"!!! Woo Hooo. How exciting!!!!! Man, you're so impressive!!!! Some of us actually have jobs, careers, and learned to do productive things on our computers, BUT YOU - - - YOU'RE A BIG BOY "GAME PLAYER"!!!!!

I bet your Mommy and Daddy are real proud of their kid, .. the BIG BOY Gamer!!!!!!!

  • @bibbler227 I am a big boy gamer...... :O

  • @cadetmaster6 mee tooooo!!!

    lol

  • @MonkeyManWill Yay!

  • @AeonRequiem: and while you're being a 5 year old playing games, I'll be doing work that I bring home from work..you know the place where grown ups go to get paid? All on my 27" Imac..you're nothin more than an over sized couch bum

  • You can easily play games on the iMac, just use VMWare or a like and play it on a virtual Win7 machine.

  • you always see cod4 on macs cause its the only game that works lol

  • @Ionjohn the Portal series,, half life 2, counter strike, WoW, the Starcraft series, the Diablo series, Amnesia, Knights of the Old Republic, Rage, GTA series, the Dragon Age series, the Bioshock series, etc. thats just a few of some better games. And Macs can run Windows, so pretty much ANY game can be played on a mac.

  • Touchscreens on desktop computers are extremely useless. Just point at your screen with your finger for 2 minutes. Try it!

    Does your arm hurt yet?

The user interfaces of desktop operating systems and applications aren't designed to be touch screen friendly anyway.

  • "Actually"

  • Can I connect this iMac to my TV via hdmi?

    Thanks in advance

  • @NiceUjabuja if you can find a cable that goes from hdmi to thunderbolt, you can have two

  • @NiceUjabuja you should be able to, you just need a mini displayport to HDMI adapter.
