stratocasters are hard to play, its harder to find the pitch harmonics and more difficult to get a clear sound when doing hammer-on's / pull-offs. There really nice when you actually get used to playing them its a lil knacky but still not my forte
@xo1tom1ox I have a Stratocaster :) They aren't too hard to play - depends on what you are used to. The Stratocaster was my first guitar, and nothing can replace it :)
all the highest rated video's are generally those that have like 1million sweeps really fast....or somthing of that nature...it's great to hear somthing in which you can tap you foot to..great job man..keep playing
fair enough it's your own personal opinion but yes your english is correct.
i wouldn't really know how a jackson or an ibanez feels to play because i haven't got one but i'll take your word for it because well, they are of a much better quality
sounds good. I just cant seem to sound that smoothe. I mean I know a lot of scales and stuff, but to make it sound smoothe and good towards the song is something that I Struggle with.
hi im raxuz from philippines... man your amazing...how many hours you've practice guitar? and what is the best exercise to get the best technique? can you pls advise my guitarplaying...pls watch my video...i need your advice man...your my idol
hahaha, for sure - I've told all my friends those are basically THE scales to know. Modes are whatever-if you've got major scales and minors on lockdown, then you're good to go.
Nah dude, even if you will never use them, the modes are very usefull because they build the full fretboard patterns for the major and minor scales, allowing you to solo all arround the neck, instead of in just one position.
this is an incredibly smooth solo, easily one of the best i've heard. It's great because you can just listen to it and it sounds good. Keep it up man...
How did you edit it? Did you film in iMovie and record in GarageBand at the same time, and then synch the mp3 with the video? Just wondering, great playing dude! :)
to everyone who would like to do his own improvisation on this backing track with his guitar: go to my myspace page and download this song (dreaming impro)
it would be so pretty if everyone will post on youtube his video playing this... =)
that was really awesome maybe tweak the tapping a little bit but don't take any offence man i know it was improv just giving some advice guitarist to guitarist
thumb in wrong position? So all the good blues guitar players are wrong? thumb is ok as long as you feel confortable playing that way, there are many techniques.
how do you get that effect is it through a effect pedal

I like the simpleness of it. It shows that you don't have to be playing all psychotic and shit to be good.
steviedashfoo 2 years ago
wouldn't call that simple though, i'd guess that solo is along the lines of stairway to heaven/comfortably numb when it comes to skill.
