he just wanted to join us and started to cut in to stop the ball first. he first used his nose, then started to use his chest, then he learned to use his mouth and found out that increased success rate to return the ball. took him about 2-3 days to figure out.
so we didn't teach him anything, just let him try in different ways and praised him when he did well. :-D
That's a great dog, but you should fix your form and shoot with one hand instead of two
