Neat video! I am on YouTube trying to promote my theory on the dynamics of light and time
This theory is based on just two postulates,
1. The first is that the quantum wave particle function explained by Schrödinger’s wave equation represents the forward passage of time or Arrow of Time itself photon by photon or moment by moment.
2. The second is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle that is formed by the wave function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event.
funny thing, there actually is a conference called BIL which started in 07 LOL. Something like a TED guerrilla style if you will. That same move seems to have inspired the name... :)
I got turned onto the site over a year ago through Giz or Eng (we're so close, we're on a first-syllable basis), and have been a regular visitor ever since.
TED is great i just visited some years ago, ( Rebeca saxe for example, very interesting or Zimbardo´s social experiments) but you all right ZSALVATI his shirt s awsome coolll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Autobots Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! remember me the Childness
HIS BOOK ABOUT Dr. jill Taylor so... in cnthy XXI, Hey Nixie you have somehing to tell about Global warming like gamer you don´t knowned any Game about this, i dont know
Watch her gaming computer setup and you will see what OS's she uses on all her computers. Its a mix between Ubuntu and Windows... Windows on her gaming computer and Ubuntu on her other computers.
I've never frequented TED, but I have seen a couple of talks done there. The few ones I've seen were really cool. Thanks for the tip! Will check it out some more.
nerdy note - there us no left and right brain, only left and right hemispheres of the brain, joined by a neural pathway, allowing the two to communicate. theyr are not separate organs, but halves of one.
true, we do have 2 brains (technically), but one is in the head, and one is an enteric nervous system in the gut, which can work perfectly well if all connections to the main brain or severed (it doesnt have the intelligence or consciousness of the main brain, but operates separately).
I can't believe how intelligent Nixie's viewers are. This whole page of comments has only one idiotic misogynistic statement, and even that one isn't spelled atrociously.
Great Tip! I suddenly felt over TED few weeks ago through a jolli cloud installation. Can confirm, that there is realy lots of realy smart and interesting peoples there. it realy is worth a visit from time to time!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
A good video for a change that isn't generic linux tutorials that have long existed where the only appeal is femininity or bullshit like "Hey guys! I'm a girl, aren't I cool? Talk nerdy to me cause like, I'mma girl and thats my niche".
I still hate you and think you're a cancer however.
I actually woke up this morning and stumbled upon Mike Sandel on PBS. The lecture was pretty interesting and it just so happen to be on this TED. Thanks for the tip and go forward with this idea!
my teacher made us listen to most of the teds speaches and after that we had to make a ted speech expressing an idea we had. i did mine on divorce and what it means to the 21st population
Years ago, one night, after sleeping on my right side and somehow blocking the flow of blood through my right carotid artery, I awoke feeling a bit weird. So I stumbled to the washroom and looked in the mirror.
The only way to describe it is that my conscious awareness was going side to side, as the blood pumped into my right hemisphere, first left then right, then left then right, for about 10 seconds.

I am trying to get my right brain to talk to my left brain. However, my left brain is missing right now. If anyone sees an errant left brain wandering by it could be mine. Please tell it to go HOME. Thanks!
But seriously, if you're talking about creating your own web site to list the best and worst of things I would recommend only the best of things. Listing something or someone as the worst could get you a law suit or two, ya know?
There was a man named Jack and he was a serial killer so should every man who uses the name Jack be vilified?
Jezebel is just a name and it rimes with Decibel this is a perfect name for a female musician who is a bit of a meditating showgirl :) It also highlights the foolishness of applying pre-judgement to a name, it's just a name.
Also :) I use the pseudonym Jezebel in jest & as sensual adversary for a dominant patriarchal culture :)
The TED site has been a favorite of mine for some time now. There are some really fascinating people and subjects there. I'm glad someone else shares my nerdiness in that aspect.
I love the TED talks. I spend hours there. I think it was last years were held in my old home town of Long Beach, CA. Don't know if that was a one time thing or not, but I'd have loved to be a part of it. Good Video!
I saw a video or two before on TED, but only because I was linked from Twitter or some other Social Network thing. But now, I think I'll browse the site a little bit deeper.
