  • I would like to add my thanks Seajays. This was exactly the correct procedure for replacing the CR1220 in a Travelmate 527TXV.

  • Great video. I used this process to replace the battery in a Travelmate 342t and it was almost exactly the same (the battery is under a silver cover on the far right of the motherboard). The battery was also a cr1220 and was socketed so it was pretty easy to replace.

  • Great help thanks !!!

  • I have an Acer Travelmate 529ATXV and I had the exact same problem and this video helped alot. Thanks man!

  • Excellent video and easy to follow, I don't think I would ever have found this battery without it the manuals gave no clues. Got a replacement from Maplins £3.39

    ciao from Italy!!

  • I have a travelmate 525TXV and have follwed your video. Invaluable. I don't know whwere I would have found the info to do this otherwise.

  • Invaluable. I have a slightly different model but the same process to gain access.

  • Great video!

    Thank you for posting. :)

  • apire 3000

  • Sorry - This just happened to be my own that the battery was dead in that I thought may be handy for others to see.

  • can yo do one for acer 3000 :( ?

  • Great Video. Before I found it I had tried everything except wait on a Full moon and walk around a rooster seven times. After video took less than 5 minutesI had to slightly modify procedure for Travelmate 250. To slide hing cover had to remove 2 screws from bottom rather than back, Then remove the 2 newly revealed screws. There It was the CMOS Battery. My battery was a CR2032 with a pigtail not the CR1220 he had in his unit. I bought regular CR2032 and taped leads on.

  • Glad you found it helpful!
