4:42 one of my favourite bits :), Hugh Laurie cracks me up in it "oh but that doesn't matter does it no because your alright arnet you with your jeans and your leather jackets and your opinions" lol "i'm going to write a stiff letter a very stiff letter...on cardboard....and i shall post it too"
@SalutationToTheDawn This was after he'd already tried to kill himself in the car though, no? It must have been his inspiration.. or the thought of it... terrifying. It's really a message that when our friends joke about stuff like this, we don't have to take them seriously.. but it should set an alarm bell off and we should look out for them.
Still we shouldn't overload a joke with significance, it's all about being meaningless and lightening the load.
@rabbitwho No, the series was being shown at the same time he tried to kill himself. It would have been filmed much earlier though. With regards to the morbid nature of the 'joke', I suppose it was much easier for him to laugh than cry.
@SalutationToTheDawn - The series just shown at the same time, the episode that vox pop was from actually aired a matter of hours before his suicide attempt. Gives me cold shivers just thinking about it. :(

"Stephen and Hugh are very tall for old ladies."
So what should we do? Chop off about one foot of each of them, but at the other end?

That's why they mock John Major being Prime Minister.
Nobody can understand how it happened."
