  • I actually massaged my own neck and saw some results...that kinda sounds a lil weird though but it worked. you just have to feel it x)

  • @TeamJacobx12 Actually my friend did it for me. She massaged my neck for about 3 minutes with lotion. Just like in the video. It made my split better by only a very little amount but it's worth at least trying. :)

  • @TeamJacobx12 well my friend and i did it to each other and we massaged each others neck just like she did....for 3 min. It worked a little bit and improved the split by a little, but it wont last long. :( just try it and see how it will turn out for u :)

  • @luvtodance136 you may be pressing too hard. his area may be inflammed already it is advisable to see a medical practioner to have this assessed as any swelling is not normal.

  • For all you doubters out there, I know this works! I am a dance teacher and when I saw this I had to try it on my kids... While most of them only increased their flexibility by about 6 inches (which is still amazing!), one of my students got over 2 feet of extra extension after the massage!!! We were immedite believers, and we ordered Lisa Howell's systems. They are awesome, and I promise you, this is not staged!

  • @prisilavila at my dance class, a lady came in and did this to everyone. it works! just a little bit everyday.

  • @prisilavila i did about half the time of the neck rub and my legs were really sore from a cheerleading tryout (i have never done cheerleading before) but i still strencthed about 7 inchs more then before plus you feel looser so that helps with the spits alot good luck tell me if it works for you

  • That is very dangerous if you aren't already flexible...just because you are massaging your nerves does not mean that your muscles can stretch that far...stretching your muscles too much farther than they can go can cause you to pull a muscle or even permanently damage hamstrings

    I don't know if someone else already replied to this but you are not massaging the nerves, you are massaging the muscles that are tight around the nerves and preventing them from sliding nicely. Your hamstrings won't rip if you do this with someone experienced who knows how to work with a human body properly. Also, your hamstrings (and any other muscle in you body) have protection mechanisms to prevent them from ripping.

  • i do that massage on my neck to help and to me i think i know it works when i feel tingling going down my legs..but its not a bad tingling..its feels good.

  • Please Help Me!I just got me pointe shoes today:)But i think they were fitted to small D: They lady gave me the shoes and i told her i wanted a larger size.So she gets me the larger pointe shoes size.We i went up,there was alot of excess at the end.So she told me the smaller size was as good as it was going to get.So i got those shoes(Grishko Elites) and when i walk in them my toes are squished and it hurts..ALOT.HELP

  • @spotlightdancer1001 dont put as much lambs wool or as much toe tape..in your shoe while dancing..and you should break your shoes in aas well..maybe take them back and get new shoes ?

  • Hey Lisa! I am a competitive cheerleader and I need extreme flexibility. I've been to a kinesiologist before, but it only helps temporarily. I stretch constantly and also strengthen the legs in my muscles, but my flexibility is limited, and i have to stretch continuously in order to keep my hamstrings loose.  Do your techniques help only temporarily or for extended periods of time? Also, can i massage myself? I would appreciate your help tremendously!

  • just tried it right not , it does take the muscle stretch reflex a couple of notches , even without my long warm up , this is beautiful .

    I am currently seeing a chiropractor due to some twisted vertebrae in certain areas of my spine, the main being in my neck just before the skull, and I've had to take time off from my dancing due to back pains as the treatment has made the muscles around my spine tender. Do you think that my range will be unable to reach it's full potential while I'm being treated due to the constant adjustments? Also, do you think this may help along with the treatment?

    The tightness is about from the buttocks down into the leg about 6 centimeters down. I just wanted to ask if i should focus on the trigger points in the gluteal muscles or if there are extra points in the upper hamstrings that I should massage too. Also is it ok to add 1 set of light isometric exercises for the hip flexors, groin muscles and hamstring twice a week or should I just go with whats in the program?

    Also, once you can free off the tension in your system,and begin t strengthen through range, you will need to do it less and less!

    We also talk about ways to prevent the tension coming back in the dvds :)
