Are you people this fucking stupid? Final Fantasies 7 and up have in-game cutscenes and CG cutscenes for monumental moments in the game, which are usually the scenes normal in-game graphics cannot handle. These are a collection of those types of scenes. You will not understand the story by watching just the CG cutscenes. No, this is not a movie. These are certain scenes from a game. Actually know what's going on before you spew idiotic bullshit from your mouths please.

There's two films so far, one is tied to FF7 and takes place after the game, and one isn't really related to any of the games.

I think the Final Fantasy stories don't really work as a film, the games can be 40 or 50 hours or so.

They're mostly unrelated, but some games tie them together in some ways, and the games have some spin-off type games. Keep in mind there's 35+ Final Fantasy games and they started in 1987, so you have to keep in mind the era of gaming they are from and what type of game and what type of platform they are on.

There isn't a chronological order really, the games are mostly not connected, but sometimes there's some games that spin off the games, and some connections.

Well, first you have to remember which era of gaming each one is from.

Whichever one seems the most interesting, go for it.

I'm not that major of a FF fan, I wouldn't recommend playing FF8 or FF13 but that's me.
