@yungboss651 closer to $80,000. 8 X $3000 to $5000 turbines ... then start adding up the costs to build the airframe, add the retracts and the radio system.
@souljajoeandtheowl their range and payload prohibit them from being able to cause much damage. a human being can carry more explosives a longer distance than any commercial RC aircraft.
I was there when this happened - we've never laughed so hard. We had even more fun by going around after the crash and asking people when the B-52 would be flying. When people said it had crashed we would say with a straight face 'Do you think they'll get it flying again today?' Heheh, what a laugh.
I was there when this happened - it was very windy but the guy didn't wanted to let the crowd down. I'd just like to say thank you for making us laugh so much.
as you can see from the blue tarp, conditions were way to windy for that large area of mass but no weight to back it up. the tail wind cause it to lose lift and it nosed over into a dive. nice model though
Tip stall -- exactly like the big boys. Watch out what you're modeling -- it may be as much of a dog as the 1/1 one, especially at bigger scales. No wonder this thing gets called the BUFF, Big Ugly Fat Fscker.
Saw this happen at Barkston Heath. Funnily enough i had seen a video of a real B52 Crashing in just the same manner only a few days before...spooky !!.Shame about the loss of such a fine model :-(.

bwahaah! dick! reminisant of the 52 crash with that cockhead pilot.
caprisierra24v 4 years ago
Actually the both crashed for much the same reason. Well other than the pilot of the real one having a hangover.
EvilxMerlin 4 years ago
There was too much wind even for a big RC. They should have known better than to fly it under those conditions. After all, it's not a real B52.

The PA was an irritating moron. If you have to listen to someone talking loudly over the P.A. system, the last person you want to hear is an idiot.

im am sorry but the Jet Engines do cost around a £2000 + so eight of those, plus R/C gear it would cost around £15,000+
