This does strike me as being very unsporting. No doubt she performed well, but there's such a thing as being a poor winner, and it's much more unpleasant than being a poor loser, in my opinion.
@fantastischfish I don't think it was unsporting. the "Ohhh" was out of legit concern and the "That's too bad" was a little sarcasm. It wasn't like she said "Oh well" or "HAHA"
@legalglitz this is truth and I would give anything for being an olympic champion . That's why I was to angry when I saw Carly with the gold medal when in my opinion gymnasts like Sofronie, Yarotska , Gomez or PAVLOVA were outside the podium :(

Because they wanted to win the team gold before the AA gold. Therefore, they just had one gymnast doing 4 events, Nicoleta Sofronie. She just competed in the european championships that same year so they judges barely knew her, and we all know that the name is really important in gymnastics.
Yup, USA definitely choked their way to a silver medal finish and an all around champ. Just because they didn't beat Romania, doesn't mean they sucked. Check your facts first...
