As for the controls: This game has real analog control, it's just on the touchscreen so it could be used for TASing. Still it looks like this TAS was done with the Dpad directions. Anayway, great TAS.
Can anyone tell me if there are any ACTUAL differences in the levels and amount of stars in the game? is there any Big differences in the levels or is there any new worlds? if not they blaitently just repackaged an old game and stuck some crappy bad control scheme on it
@Seany1616 there are quite a few additions, an extra 50 stars for one, then there's the 4 playable characters(each of which play slightly different and gain different abilities from red blocks), and there's also a bunch of great minigames to pass the time in between getting all those stars.
@Seany1616 They added a few more worlds, and 30 more stars were added to the game, making a total of 150 stars. There was another star in the courses, making a total of eight stars in every course.
Wouldn't it have been faster to glitch yourself into the basement instead of going through the front door and having to catch the rabbit and deal with all the text boxes?
This game looks terrible for TASing. If I recall, the control scheme is the Dpad (8 directions) not an analog stick (omni-directional) so it will be very hard indeed to optimize it.
Looks very poorly optimized.. it looks almost non TAS. Corners and jumps look poorly angled and such. Not trying to get you down if you're new at this but TAS's are made to show the game pushed to it's limits.
@ThMrksman say that again in a few weeks, go to xMisterEpicx 's channel, he's about to upload a very good TAS of this in amazing quality, played by professional tasers

@Seany1616 If you played the original then don't bother or you'll be bored within the first hour.

After seeing how bad this game looks up close, I think they should make a Super Mario 64 3DS. It would have analog control even!

@Jorbs3210 Well you can control Super Mario 64 DS with 3DS Analog Stick.

Have you tried TASing this game?
This is by far the best effort i've seen.
Poorly angled jumps are pretty much unavoidable with this game unfortunately.

Do you have any idea how unresponsive the controls are? it's like a lobotomized version of the N64 game

isn't it faster to backflip into the paintings after you finish a star?
