  • @tibatfree

  • Buddhism doesn't have commandments. The mysticism in Buddhism comes mostly from the monks having too much time and not enough understanding over thousands of years.

  • INDEPENDENT FOR TIBET COUNTRY.

    AND LONG LIVE DALAILAMA.

  • Religion is nothing more than a well written fairy tale.

  • CIA and Dalai Lama connection:

    revcom.us/a/firstvol/tibet/cia5.htm

  • om mani padme hum

  • "Holiness"?

    nobody is holy

    .

    Religion is institutionalized myth.

    I dig the throat singer

  • @smujismuj the dalai lama knows that but imagine he lives a life in which everyone expects him to be a "holiness"

  • @smujismuj Well said :)

  • The Pathetic Excuse that Tibet was a theocratic feudal serfdom headed by His Holiness The Dalai Lama and his upper class clique is incredibly absurd and naive.

    • This is the fundamental argument that the China has, and will ever have, to assert its claims over Tibet and to justify its violent occupation.

    • Even if it was True, China does not have the right to invade a Country because they do not like their Social system.

  • Ignorant Racist Wu Maos, I HAVE been to Tibet and I have seen the Tibetans sufferings and frustrations first hand. ! You MORONS repeat Chinese Propaganda like good little CLONES

    The whole world knows:

    China is Governed by LIars.

Chinese People are fed on Lies,

Chinese have no credibility whatsoever in the outside World.

  • Tibet is a Holy and blessed land and it is being terrorized by His Holy Shit the Da Lie Lama.

The Chinese have much support in the world because everyone who has half a brain; who is not brainwashed, knows the Da Lie Lama is the biggest scam artist of the 21st century.

End the suffering of the Tibetan people by sentencing the Da Lie Lama's ass to jail who he belongs.

The Tibetans will never give up their fight to defeat the Da Lie Lama for freedom!

  • forever dalai lama viva el tibet, a por ellos independencia ya!! + sahara por marruecos. viva!!!

  • Happy 75th Birthday to His Holiness The Dalai Lama

In this holy Land surrounded by snow mountains,

You are the source of all Benefit and Happiness

May your Lotus Feet, O powerful Chenrezig, Tenzin Gyatso

Remain in this world until Samsara ends!

Long Live His Holiness The Dalai Lama

    OM MANI PADME HUM!

  • People who are against the Dalai Lama are blind and funny.

  • @nf255 Did u wanna say something?

  • @MurdocLC I'm not against the Dalai Lama, he seems like a nice bloke, but it doesn't mean that Buddhism doesn't contain fairy tale elements such as rebirth and enlightenment.

Atheism + compassion + science = true enlightenment

It is science that eradicated small pox and saves millions with antibiotics. No religious prophet has ever saved any where near as many lives as science. Religion is dead.

  • @mikeyo1234 "Atheism + compassion + science = true enlightenment" I agree, though I dont know if its enough to be called enlightenment. But while I love buddhism and would call myself either atheist or buddhist, I dont belive in all that is buddhism. It's the core of buddhism that is of value the most. But thats what so great about buddhism, its hardly a religion and it focus on kindness, sience and yourself. You are to question anything, icluding buddhism.

  • @MurdocLC I agree. Buddhism has some great concepts, and they do seem the most willing to adopt science, so there's no doubt that they are the most evolved religion out there. I just think the 'mumbo jumbo' element undermines them a bit. However considering when Buddhism was conceived the ideas are not irrational based on evidence available at the time.

Meditation is an amazing 'invention'. So lot's of positives, however I think we need to move away from mythology.

  • @mikeyo1234 Some mubo jumbo might be true, we dont know. At least its not completely unlikely like say, an almighty man who created the universe... Since buddhism is so open and liberal you dont HAVE to be in one or another folder where you HAVE to believe in certain things. You learn the basic things and then you build your own faith on that. One of the reasons I love buddhism. Buddhism is like the religion of atheists cause its hardly a religion.

  • @MurdocLC I think it is one of the more open religions. I was impressed when the Dalai Lama said that if science could one day create a method to make someone get the benefit of decades of meditation practise just by 'plugging in' to something then he'd support it. He also does liaise with scientists and admit that they are leaders in their field. I do worry about the other religions far more.

  • in one year, his holiness will be making a trip to my home state of Montana. What a incredible experience it will be for me. i suppose people who are not Buddhists don't understand. but i have no doubt tears will swell from my eyes when i see him in person and hear his wisdom.

  • @glennr2222

Shut up glen and go back to your jerry springer and nascar. You're just a useful fool for imperialist bitches!

  • 看了三分之一,笛子挺好听。并且讲得比老胡好,佛学英语版。不过赖哥的立场还是不能苟同,毕竟是君权神受下的产物。

  • @uvmnqaz

    赖哥 is a political whore.

  • @uvmnqaz 我同意你絕對的。

  • sounds like a big burp in the beginning lol!

  • The episode wants you to recognize that you don't need to be religious to do good for humankind. And people like Dalai, Mother Theresa and Gandhi are not faultless. I think you missed the bigger point.

  • It goes without even saying that you dont have to be religious to do good things! I dont think P & T would dedicate a episode just to point that out, the bigger point is that religion & religious leaders are detrimental to society. The fact remains that religious leaders have near unchallengeable authority & yet are just as corruptible by power as anyone else. It takes religion to make good people do bad things & what is worse is that leaders are allowed to get away without any consequence.

  • I pray that the Gelugpa Tradition that all of us are united as one family with no infighting. That Bon Kagyu Gelugpa & Ningma all have harmony & friendship like they did before the Dalai lama caused us to turn on each other. Tibetan Buddhism has 4 leaders not 1. Four leaders of 4 schools. I pray that we can all be a family & united again and that the Dalai Lama will fix this since he made this situation by trying to become the sole leader. Please Dalai Lama fix this. Stop harming us

  • I heard about something like that.

  • @ hisphoniness

tell me are you an official spokesperson for the Chinese Government? how much are you and your cronies being paid to spout your twisted rhetoric?

  • it is the chinese government they live in fear of, not each other

  • Comment removed

  • I hope the same too! It is very sad what's happening right now. Very sad for the precious dharma itself.

  • eternalricemuncher, hisphoninesss etc.

"Stop haaaarming us, give us religious freeeeedom". I know your slogans.

    Dissappear, propagandists, China appologists...

Religion is not "flourishing in Tibet" - hisphoniness - THE MONASTERIES ARE VERY EMPTY RIGHT NOW!

  • @wingsmanx5 lol

  • Thank you very so much bringing this video to us.. It is always enlightening listening to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Thank You all, who made this possible

  • @lhakpatsering

Fuck you tibetan scum bag. No theocracy in the 21st century!

  • The Chinese government views propaganda as a key weapon in its efforts to undermine the movement for Tibetan rights and statehood. Chinese state run media - whose use of manufactured and manipulated history is indisputable - regularly debases and assails Tibetan culture and specifically the Dalai Lama, who is dismissed with regularity - and relish. The Tibetan refugee population is treated with equal disdain,

  • 8-How have you personal fortune ?

9-have you condemned the torture in the prison at Guantanamo ?

10-Consider yourself as a politician hihing behind a monk or a monk hihing behind a politian ?

  • 10 question for Dalai lama :

1-Do you supported Bush for Iraq war ?

2-Are you the compassion for 1 million Iraqis killed by USA ?

3-Do you took the money from CIA ?

4-Do you eat the meats ?

5-Do you discrimination against Dorje Shugden monks ?

6-Do you love the money and luxuru life ?

7-Have you ever been the master of clavery?

  • @clavie05 Poor guy!

  • ignorans jumping on daliar lama bangwagon for 15 mins of fame worshipping slave owner of old tiet. down with htis monk.

  • Hmm loks who is talking you cant even spell the word "THIS" GO BACK TO SCHOOL then maybe you will be able to relate to him!

  • No, unilateral peace *ISN'T* possible, and I'm sure he understands this. But his message isn't tailored to suit cynics and pragmatists, it's for the people who want to hear it.

It's no wonder unilateral peace is out of reach. We still have people who lash out blindly for no other reason than to show their troll buddies how big their e-peens are.

  • I'll make a deal with you people. When any single one of you bother to speak out against the aggression of an invading country with words instead of bullets, as he has done, then you can all say whatever the hell you want.

His is one of the VERY LAST open voices of compassion, and the public response is typical; a bunch of small-minded ratfinks baring their fangs at the thought of someone who wishes for unilateral peace.

He's never claimed to be anything more than a man.

  • @Soddykins

well said. VERY well said. what China is doing to the people of Tibet is disgusting and unspeakable.

  • We need to differentiate between rice and chaff

Monks never ever have the right to speak about politics

Real monks practice Buddhism in silence.

Fake lama god kings do what Dalai is doing

STOP HIJAKING MY RELIGION FOR YOUR PETTY NEEDS

  • I guess liberation from suffering is a 'petty need'?

  • And so, what's it like working for the Chinese?

  • ask daliar lamas bro and nephews who love chinese women lollllllllllll

  • Do you think you are making a point? Because, you are only declaring your ignorance.

  • @hisphoninesss Be Act like human being! Write something meaningful! i feel sad for you still your shrouded by the negative emotion! If u r human being use ur brain properly and observe the truth.

  • When you speak sir, I listen to what you DON'T say.

  • Nobel of PEACE....why? You don't do ANYTHING, words , the wind blows them away. You are another "polititian", living at Rich people's costs. Do YOU have INNER PEACE? What is or was your contribution for Mankind? NONE.

  • Dalai is totally political monk, he enjoy traveling around world by Private Jet, meet those celebrity and movie star, he done nothing for poor, everybody think he is a Holly man, get close to him could get good luck. wrong, He only totally ordinary man

  • I think ur right killerbug881. I don't judge anyone, just wondering why is D. Lama holy? Holy is associated with a God, they don't have 1, as usual, humans are ILOGICAL. Peace is Impossible, the WORLD knows that, why does D. Lama "preach it"? Good and Evil have the same face, it all depends when they cross each person's paths, it's very very Difficult to tell wich side D. Lama is....my Masters told me I went Far beyond their expectations, I learned 10 times more what I was supposed to....

  • Sir , you are NOT a holy person.

You like richness and visiting "hollywood movie stars", when everyone knows NO ONE can approach you, so "movie stars" are a Symbol of GOOD behavior 4 Mankind? Absolutely NOT. You travel free around the world, you do NOTHING, those people are called in a society Parasites, you don't work, so how do you live?

Christian pope the same, Ratzinger the Nazi, surrounded by GOLD, Vatican is the most rich COUNTRY in the world, you the holy showing on USA TV....

  • PROOF of why Tibet is NOT part of China

    tibetjustice. org/materials/treaties/index.html (remove spaces)

shows some of the countries who recognised Tibet as a country from 822 to 1918.

See the 17 point agreement from 1951

    friends-of-tibet. org. nz/17-point-agreement.html (remove spaces)

The Tibetan Autonomous Region is Tibetan, NOT Chinese Tibetan. For other parts of Tibet go down and Tibetan will appear (see wiki)

Who recognises Tibet from the Sino-Tibetan Treaty 822 to 2009 ??

    China does !

  • The Dalai Lama says he wants Tibetan autonomy and political independence. Yet he allows himself to be used as a tool by western powers keen to humiliate China. Between the late 1950s and 1974, he is alleged to have received around $15,000 a month, or $180,000 a year, from the CIA. He has also been, according to the same reporter, remarkably nepotistic, promoting his brothers and their wives to positions of extraordinary power in his fiefdom-in-exile in Dharamsala, northern India.

  • phoniness

The CIA used the Tibetan FREEDOM fighters to annoy China.

Learn about the US and Tibet

  • @hisphoninesss - The only things that are phoney are your arguments, rhetoric and the allegations you list in all of the posts you have made. I pity you for your troubled mind and hope that you find enlightenment.

  • His Holiness? Give me a break....We should take this fruitcake, the pedophile pope, all those Hillbilly Ayatollahs that parrot that Jesus dreck in between pleas for money from braindead Krischins, and the Fascists in Israel who call it righteous to kill 1600 of "them" because they killed 9 of us, and lock 'em in a psych ward and make 'em cage fight on Pay per view and use the money to feed starving kids in Third World Hellholes that we've ripped off. Oh Yeah - taliban, too

    Just tryin' to help!

  • Do you support the evil communist party cult ???

You have plenty to say on this video but nothing at this point in time on your channel to say who or what you support. What's up with that ????

  • I'm against Religion, Nationalism and every other form of Separatism. Humanity and the planet, itself, are in peril. It's time to stand together with our common needs as the unifying force. I don't know enough about Tibet's political situation to comment about that, specifically. Of course, I'm against oppression, but when the Confederacy tried to secede in The US we had a bloody Civil War to prevent it.

I notice the DL managed to avoid the strife and find his way to comfort and adulation. Hmmm

  • HHDL was lucky to get out of Tibet alive in 1959.

HH The REAL Panchen Lama was kidnapped in 1995 (when he was 6) with his family and hasn't been seen since.

That's not politics its human rights and history. If you comment about HHDL you should learn about Tibet and China.

HHDL supports Tibetans and Chinese in their fight for freedom.

  • I'm all for freedom and human rights, and I'm sorry that violence has befallen anyone and I'm glad for anyone who's escaped it.

Having said that (which I shouldn't have to) - I still don't believe any human being is any "holier" than any other. I think religions, generally, are oppressive to women, and I've heard that about Tibetan Buddhism. Of course China is repressive and I hate that, but almost no countries allow secession or sovereignty for internal entities. That's sad but true. No?

  • I am not a Buddhist but I think their treatment of animals is very commendable.

  • We have common ground, there, my Friend. Life is life in all its forms, and cruelty is the only sin, in my view.

I heard Paul McCartney say that he set his foot upon the vegetarian path after fishing one day and pulling a fish in and seeing it writhe frantically in the boat. "I realized in that moment that the fish's life was as important to him as mine is to me!" ....I think that says a lot.

Peace to you and all living things...

  • The Dalai Lama demands religious freedom. Yet he persecutes a Buddhist sect that worships a deity called Dorje Shugden He poses as quirky, giggly, modern monk who once auctioned his Land Rover on eBay for $80,000 and has even done an advert for Apple . DLhas been remarkably nepotistic, appointing members of his family to many positions of prominence. In recent years, 3 of the 6 members of Kashag, the highest executive branch of Tibetan govt-in-exile, have been close relatives of Dalai Lama.

  • Amnesty International (AI) has received and studied a large amount of material alleging human rights abuses against worshippers of the Tibetan Buddhist deity Dorje Shugden

None of the material AI has received contains evidence of abuses which fall within Al's mandate for action — such as grave violations of fundamental human rights including torture, the death penalty, extra-judicial executions, arbitrary detention or imprisonment, or unfair trials.

FREE Burma, Congo, Iran, Sudan and China

  • is the beginning. what is the name of the flute like instrument? i have had an interest in this instrument but never knew what it was called.

  • In India it's called a Bansuri and is the instrument that the Lord Krishna plays.

  • Dalai Lama free Rorje Shughen now !!!!

  • lol

Dalai Lama free clavie from his terrible spelling and laziness, lol, and also free his boss at guoanbu from his lazy employee

  • I like you :P you re so fun !

Free Guantanamo, iraq, Tibet and the world.

    paix and love !

  • Free Tibet?

    From what?

  • from the separation tibetans LoL

  • And where will you put them?

What you're saying is you want to ethnically cleanse Tibet of Tibetans. So-called "separation Tibetans" are everywhere in Tibet, and outside of Tibet.

There was a recent vote, conducted secretly inside Tibet, and Tibetans voted overwhelmingly to kick out the crooked CCP and have the Dalai Lama's democratic system installed.

    You should do better research!

  • whatever about you re said, tibet will never independant and belong to china for eternity :)

  • i like his hat better than the popes

and the talent show guy at the begining

  • Thank you for this informative video. I love Nawang Khechog and his album "Universal Love".

Ive just watched a few videos on Dalai Lama, especially What Tsem Rinpoche thinks of the Dalai Lama??!! Which I think gives more insight about His Holiness and Tibetan Buddhism. I do hope people will not argue about His Holiness political role and focus more on his religious role, which he has contributed a lot.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, the guy that introduced his holiness did go on TOO LONG!
