Until shift I used to missed madness of need for speed : take car choose track and drive. The Underground style NFS'es began get annoying: overuse of nos annoying and pointless roaming (in most wanted at latest levels cops get boring). Shift have this feeling. And hot puirsuit (3 :)) made it everything perfect.

i think it's the best decision to get rid of free-roam mode.

free-roam mode was fun, but after nfs u2 and nfs mw, there are more and more nfs clones out there (like drift city, ray city etc) and i've already fed up with free-roam mode.

no matter it's legal race style or 'cops & robbers' style, closed circuits always have higher continunty than free-roams.

No hate or anything, but I just rather to grab a stock car, put some good power up modifications, lower it down, pimp it out kinda, grab a badass soundtrack, and cruise around the streets of a city looking for some fun. ok i downloaded this game thinking it would be more like street races or something like that, but when i start to play, i find out it's all about pro races and shit like that. now what really pissed me off is that after i won a couple of races i bought a car which i upgraded but now i can't use it because the races only allow me to race with a specific car WTF!! or am i o doin somethin wrong? oh well... evenif i get to use myca this game will still suck lol

@JeffX824 shift is a great game. much more so for the mature audiences. if you play online you will notice through common logical thinking most of the good players are much more mature, higher leveled, and also not trying to knock people off the road 24\7 this is why they are making a shift 2 and a new need for speed hot pursuit and releasing them around the same time, shift, being aimed at older community's and hot pursuit being aimed at the younger.

i think ea should make a shift 2 after the new hot pursuit, featuring:

1. team racing (where you join a team, and the team should gets higher total scores to win, similar to mario kart team racing)

2. more tracks (eg. macao, hong kong etc)

3. more cars
