  • HAHAHAHA you lost sucker, now Layton will get his chance

  • Michael Ignatieff and Stephen Harper are Bilderberg scum and have the exact same agenda.

Liberal vs. Conservative is a false paradigm.

The true fight is Global PRIVATE Interests vs. Free Humanity.

You will not get your new world order.

  • @nonfluoridated Too late.

  • who is this guy? he looks like the grinch who stole Christmas.

  • who is this guy? he looks like the grinch who stole Christmas. At least at my age I can tell what a douchebag looks like.

  • Go Michael! I loves you! <3

  • I'm sorry but Iggy is not what I want for Canada. Harper is a paranoid and power hungry Prime Minister but I don't think Iggy is a good substitute. Above all, this man does not represent the nature of the liberal party. As a life time liberal (i'm young so that's not that long) I fear that Ignatieff represents a break from the Liberal Party of Canada my father, my grandfather and I grew to know and love. He'll heat-up American-style right-left politics. Btw, JanBee1122...take a chill pill

  • @equitemcroce Chill pill? You better wake up and get rip snorting mad about what is going on around you, kiddie. Global governance is coming your way and Harper and Iggie and Layton and Duceppe are ALL FOR IT. Canada has already made secret agreements with the US to share military troops in times of CIVIL unrest. This is no longer the country your Liberal die hard family USED to vote in. The vote is dead. Harper is clearly planning to stay regardless of the outcome of the next election.

  • I hate that fucker

  • This men is the king !

  • @qusola I think you meant "These men are kings".

  • Ignatieff was probably ordered back to Canada by the Bilderberg to bring our already Socialist society under complete Fascist rule. He MUST NOT get into power in Canada or he will surely finish us off as a nation.

We need someone who can turn our Constitution back into what it was originally designed to be: A mechanism to protect Canadians (not the mechanism created by Trudeau to put the elitist Quebecois into every powerful position of this country).

    Libertarianism might just succeed.

  • okay, relax there don't get so dramatic

  • @JanBee1122 Hello? You might not have noticed, what with keeping an eye out for the Bilderberg Group & all--but Harper REALLY IS A RAVING FASCIST. And if he gets in power Mr Firewall Around Alberta truly will "finish us as a nation" as you say. We will be serfs. And when we get sick, our wonderful socialist health care system that we built, will be gone. Harper is the enemy, you idiot. And fuck you about the Quebecois. Vive le Quebec. We are ALL CANADIANS. WE NEED TO FIGHT HARPER TOGETHER NOW.

  • @mightymissk Hey, asshole, did I say I was for HARPER? You are the idiot, buddy. And you proved it with your battle cry "Vive le Quebec libre", ...so "Canadian" of you. And if you think NOT keeping your eye on Bilderberg is smart, then I there is really no hope for you at all. If you want Canadians to work together, then maybe you could start by getting your compatriots in la belle province to join us rather than actively working against us in every facet of our collaborative society, eh?

  • @JanBee1122 I said Vive le Quebec--NOT Vive le Quebec libre. And Duceppe DID offer to join us in a parliamentary coalition against Harper. THINK ABOUT THAT. Separatist Quebecers, so worried about Harper's right wing extremism that they were willing to join with federalist Canadians to stop him. HARPER WORKS FOR HIS CORPORATE MASTERS. He's a real fascist. Don't you get it? If he gets a majority it will be as bad as if your shadowy Bilderberg group had taken power. Sorry about the idiot thing.

  • @mightymissk They ALL work for corporate masters. Each one of them. I do not support Fascist Harper, I can assure you, but if you think putting any of these other puppets into power is the solution, then you are wrong again. I have no idea what the answer is, but I know it's not going to be something conventional, like voting.

  • @JanBee1122 They may all work for corporate masters--BUT HARPER IS A DISCIPLE OF RIGHT WING EXTREMISM. If Harper get a majority, we're finished. He will privatize our public lands & resources, bankrupt us, then announce that since we're bankrupt--no more universal health care. Quebec will leave & we will be fractured. Torn asunder. Easy pickings. Voting may not be the whole answer. I actually agree with you on that. But unless we stop Harper before he gets a majority there will be nothing left.

  • @mightymissk Then what is your suggestion? I know that Quebec leaving will create the great fracture required to dissolve all of Canada, but therein lies the problem as it has always been. To keep Quebec in is just as disunifying to Canada because Quebec makes demands that no other part of the union makes or can keep up with. It has debilitated us as a nation. What is the answer? Quebec demands have led to a leader like Harper and we will all suffer the consequences for it.

  • @JanBee1122 First, Quebec's "demands" have not debilitated us as a nation. In fact, the opposite is true. That's just CTV news and Sun newpaper propaganda. Quebec doesn't actually want to leave. Harper won't be the pretext. Harper will be the straw that broke the camel's back. Quebecers just won't tolerate living in a bankrupt right wing police state. We might, but they won't put up with it. And my suggestion is VOTE. Get your friends to vote. We need to tell people THIS IS NO ORDINARY ELECTION.

  • @mightymissk So, Quebec has made us strong and united and are the bastions of tolerance? And, we must vote for ignatieff? Come on, is this what you are trying to get me to swallow? The time to have told our friends "this is no ordinary election" was about 50 years ago. Our political-hoars are all part of the same, moral-less, glop of stinking corporate, bankster globalists in this new millenium and NOT ONE OF THEM has our country's interest at heart. NOT ONE!

  • @JanBee1122 QUEBEC HAS MADE US FRIGGING AWESOME. Have you ever partied with Quebecers during a riot? There is nothing like it. This IS no ordinary election. Harper is nuts. Evil. He's not just a well meaning asshole or just poorly informed. He's mean. As for Ignatieff. He's a pragmatist. He won't deliberately harm this country. And I don't buy the conventional wisdom that all politicians are "stinking corporate, banker globalists" --but that's a great line. What about Tommy Douglas or Pearson?

  • @JanBee1122 Quebec's "demands" haven't led to Harper. For years now, separatist sentiment in Quebec has been on the wane. But I worry that if Harper gets a majority & starts putting pot smokers in prisons--the separatists might actually win a referendum next time. No. WHAT'S LED TO HARPER IS PUBLIC APATHY abetted by lots of misinformation in the corporate media. Look at The National Post, The Globe & Mail & Maclean's. So right wing they are proto-fascist. Anti-working man. Pro "free trade."

  • @mightymissk Also, I have a problem with leaders being "declared". Ignatieff was not voted into his position as leader of the official opposition...he attained it because the elected leader was forced out. Why is this allowed to stand? Why should Canada being going into any election with a leader of a party who was not voted in? The coalition was illegal from that standpoint and Quebec had no real pull at the table since Duceppe stands only for what is right for Quebec and Quebec ALONE.

  • @JanBee1122 I agree. I have a problem with declared leaders--but that too--is part of parliamentary democracy. Ignatieff is the legitimate leader of the LIberals. And I think you're wrong about Duceppe. He's a decent man, as is Ignatieff. It's a real shame he' s a separatist, but separatist or not, he shares many of our values--like universal health care--values NOT SHARED by Mr Firewall Around Alberta. Personally, I think we should kidnap Elizabeth May & make her lead the Liberals.

  • i wish they'd didn't intercut the english version with the french part of the speech... it was a bit annoying

  • Go Michael!

  • I'm so proud that this man will be our next Prime Minister! GO IGNATIEFF!!!!

  • O.O

    wtfmate, chill dude

    thats just my opinion...

  • See and hear Ignatieff say: "We wouldn't have international human rights without the leadership of George W. Bush and the United States!" during his 2005 lecture at Trinity College.Go to my videos and watch "The Real Michael Ignatieff ."

  • Please create a government fund that allows provinces, territories and nations of Canada to implement well regulated online distance learning. Open up labs, online archives and certifications centers for our youth. Yes! Merge the GST and PST for consumers. Also lock it in where it's at. No MORE REDUCTIONS HARPER! Continue with lowered business taxes, let prime float low, print more money.. lower the CAD vs. USD. Continue with the tax tiering subsidy credits. Lower property taxes.

  • ...Implement small price increases for our infrastructure within waste and utility. Energy saving incentives are very poor for the consumer. We need to work on a way to credit residents whom fall within brackets of lower usage.(Such as our income tax tier tables.) Business tax should increase based on wasted consumption, of course within feasibility. ie. Empty packages and empty nourishment needs to be dealt with.

Go ahead, print more money, our dollar is gaining again today! LOL

  • Michael Ignatieff will be the next PM of Canada in the next election. Stephan Harper will lose. I hope the Conservative Party loses all it's seats next election

  • i pray to god this guy

    doesn't make us into

    americans...cuz he is one...

  • Buddy, he was a Harvard International Policy professor - all he fucking did was study Canada for its incredible foreign policies that the Liberals used for 30 years while he was down there.

  • C'est possible que je vote Libéral pour la première fois (je vote Bloc)

  • Je comprends pourquoi! Moi aussi je vote Libéral pour Michael Ignatieff.

  • Ignatieff has gained a larger worldcentric view (human rights, international development, education) by living in other countries other than Canada; whereas, Harper has a great ethnocentric and egocentric view (his low respect for race, gender, and sexual orientation issues, as well as the arts and Quebec).

Canada is filled with many different people and cultures from many different countries; which makes Ignatieff's experience that much more valuable to Canada.

  • Solarcradle "my reasoning and intelligence is based on relativity"

Exactly, you make decisions based upon your emotions and feelings, by using your subjective, phenomenological experience as the axiom upon which you construct any knowledge, with empirical facts and objectivity placing second in importance.

Hence, "I feel something is right but I have no objective facts to prove it." What are the premises of your argument that lead to your conclusion that Ignatieff is unfit for leadership.

  • Pseudoscience bologna! :P

So stranger, here you are accusing me of the same thing you are doing.

On a positive pitch, I agree, raise taxes!

  • I will now use that same line on yourself, " Reason and intelligence - not relativism - is what Canada and the world needs right now.

Intelligence and reason my friend! I am not of the relative group that are fired up about Mister Ignatieff residing outside of Canada for 30 or so years. In my case, I have higher expecations and standards, such as many other Canadian's.

  • I was in the room for this speech and it was one of the most inspirational speeches I have heard in almost thirty years of political involvement. Ignatieff is an inspiration.

  • Sure.. the speech was one of his? best. I was inspired by it also.

  • He taught at Harvard until 2005, when on August 26 it was announced that Ignatieff was leaving Harvard to become the Chancellor Jackman Visiting Professor in Human Rights Policy at the University of Toronto. His book on the dangers of ethnic nationalism in the post-Cold War period, Blood and Belonging: Journeys into the New Nationalism, won the Gordon Montador Award for Best Canadian Book on Social Issues and the University of Toronto's Lionel Gelber Prize.

  • Solarcradle - "I sense" "the usual sense"

Reason and intelligence - not relativism - is what Canada and the world needs right now.

Ignatieff is a well-educated man, like Obama, and will be the next Premier ministre du Canada. He has held prominent academic positions at Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard,Toronto. An award-winning author, journalist, documentary filmmaker, director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

  • I need not more history of one I do not feel comfortable with for PM in the present! I have done my research. I "feel" justified in my "sense / opinions." BTW, my reasoning and intelligence are based on relativity, ty. *toots horn.

I went to school with well educated types. All different kinds! Ignatieff may have vast knowledge in 'X" amount of subjects.. though this does not rule out whether he is missing a few or more important components that one may "expect" from New World leadership.

  • Ignatieff will make Canada proud again. We've had enough of Harper. He is too divisive. He is already running attack ads since his leadership is slipping away. He's pitting immigrants against established Canadians. We need a Prime Minister who unites the country (or at least tries to). Harper always causes division.

  • Harper is notorious for attack ads. His website put the spotlight on Stephane Dion before the general election in '08. Poor Stephane! Harpers website showed a bird defecating on Dion's shoulder. The darn website was up for 1-2 days after Dion lost the election. SCHMUCK! LOL Harper can tell you to fuck off with a smile on his face. A non-patriotic, silent smile *just feck off okay!?. :) Smart man.. fairly dull.

  • @sprtn007 If only u said was true and Ima liberal supporter. Sadly I live in a dam tory riding and now the fukin son of a bitch hore harper will rule for 4 long fukin years. We need Change
