To keep Quebec in is just as disunifying to Canada because Quebec makes demands that no other part of the union makes or can keep up with. It has debilitated us as a nation. What is the answer? But I worry that if Harper gets a majority & starts putting pot smokers in prisons--the separatists might actually win a referendum next time. Ignatieff was not voted into his position as leader of the official opposition...he attained it because the elected leader was forced out. Why is this allowed to stand? Why should Canada being going into any election with a leader of a party who was not voted in? The coalition was illegal from that standpoint and Quebec had no real pull at the table since Duceppe stands only for what is right for Quebec and Quebec ALONE.

And I think you're wrong about Duceppe. He's a decent man, as is Ignatieff.
