I downloaded this NPC and I only have one complaint. The T-Rex is way too small. The animations are way too fast. Make it bigger and of god sake make it run FASTER. It was 50km/h if I remember the movie correctly. would be sweet to see an update for this in Gmod.

Good animation, but at 1.25 the Tyrannosaur is eating its own foot! I guess there was no animated food to eat....

Cool! But his walking and running looks very awkward :/ His feet need to hang when he lifts his foot, like a bird, and his legs should be directly under him, not splayed out as much. Great work though, it was fun to watch!

It's great! I just don't like the walking and running animations much, though. It waddles too much.

I think that the walking and running animations should be based more on those off of Birds such as Ostriches. :D :]

one flaw, The search for standing still thing... sure their eye sight was bad, but their sense of smell was beast, It was something the writers of Jurassic Park didn't think about. The T-Rex would have no problem finding someone standing still.

Looks awesome! Though I think with the walking/running, the toes should move too as he raises his foot, have them curl down a bit. The feet look too static, but overall looks awesome!

I think you should tweak the feet so that there is a joint on the ankle. Makes for some realistic feet and gives you that raptor touch.

Ok, listen guys. I think the eating animation is part the T-rex after all. I was throwing this arachnid ragdoll at him one day, and the last time I threw it, it did a stomp animation but then te ragdoll dissappeared. I think he ATE IT! Who else witnessed it?

Hehe, yeah I'm a nerd, I like sweating the details when I'm enthusiastic about something. And I really don't know why he couldn't get the death animation to work. Xystus may be the 2nd best snpc coder, but he's still lacking in certain skills. Not that he didn't try his best, he was really excited to get Rexy working once I started working on him.

Awesome work. Only thing I'd say for the future is on the walk animations, look to Jurassic park for the feet. Too flat-footed here, makes it almost seem like walking is awkward. However incredible job so far.

Thanks. Yeah, I'd begun noticing in Jurassic Park that the Rex and Spino do this odd thing where their toes seem to sag down when they pick up their feet. I guess heavy feet do this...?

If I ever do the Spino, I'll be certain to keep that in mind.

That's a trait they borrowed from birds really, but it's correct for Dinosaurs as well.

A little critique though, in the walk and run animations the legs should be held under the body rather than to the side because the animal is basically balancing 5 tons of weight on one leg when it lifts the other foot.

@JJMDude Hi im a DES (dinoexpertisestudent) from norway, i have investigated whos strongest in 4 months, the t.rex has more jaw mussles then spino, so remember, make spinos health and power lower then t-rex, spino is actually a fish eater. jurassic park is more fake. they never investigate the dinos, the oversised some dinos too.

Awesome, I love Rexy, only bad thing about Rexy is that he's somewhat retarded. It's probably the maps AI Nodes, but most of the time when I spawn him, he just stands around and will attack someone only if they're extremely close to him.
