At this time the top of the roster was thread bare. There was only Austin, Undertaker and Kane, and Mick Foley. The likes of Triple-H and The Rock were still playing mid card. With the Undertaker feuding with Kane, Mick Foley was the only logical candidate to face Austin in any of his three guises.
