  • it always makes me MAD when capoeira videos have crappy non-capoeira music playing. I'd rather hear whatever the bateria is playing.

  • I wonder how's the original music sounds, what they are making behind them. :/

  • it's cool show

  • nice n cool video.luv capo very much...salve

  • what is the name of the song???

  • Bushido -Endgegner (Instrumental)

  • Fuck Nike! Nike exploits labor similar to slavery.

Why sell off an art like capoeira, that the ancestors of it fought so hard to preserve....

I forgot we live in a time where vanity and ego mean more than .intelligence and awareness of what's really going on in this world.... WAKE UP!!!!!

  • Wow. Who are you to judge why people practice capoeira...?? nobody can get good at without some sort of live for it.

  • Nike supports slave labor. It is simple. Why exploit an art that had many of its ancestors fighting hard to preserve it from becoming like this.

Does fashion mean more than values?

  • This is not exploiting. I love capoeira. Every single thing about it. The game, the fight, the florero. But if nike asked me to florero and was offering decent money for it I would definitly go for it. Not that im losing my values or my love for the art, but realistically speaking why turn them down. Its just like charging for capoeira lessons. We dont do it because we lost our values. we do it because we need to survive.

  • Dude, I think your idea of survival is a bit misguided.

Doing floreios for nike to earn some $ isn't survival. Being forced to work in sweatshops in unfair conditions is a true measure of having to survive.

Whatever you think you feel about it...

supporting Nike is a direct blow to the intrinsic values of capoeira, and everything the earlier capoeira masters fought hard to preserve.

  • You mentioned you love every aspect of capoeira including the fight. But I think that if you understood what the fight is really about, you would be arguing the same point as I.

  • o cara que fez a armada dupla acerto as costas do ultimo da fila quando caiu

  • I've still not seen anyone who can keep up with the Speed of a Brazillian Man i met in Glasgow a few Months back he wasn't Built to well but is strong and quick moved a little faster than the guys at 2:23

  • it would be real capoiera if they used the real music

  • lol..?

capoeira a dirty fight? you obviously don't know what capoeira is mate...

  • Eu Faço isso !!

    I Do It.

  • Imho its ok to use other music styles for capoeira videos... but Bushido is not really a nice and smart choice. ;-)

After hearing this phony rap music I always have to plug in some real laid back hip hop from a 90s mixtape. :P

  • Não gostei.... Pra gringo ver é...? O jogo estava muito violento.

  • y did they edit the music.

    dis suckx.

    btw gud video

  • Does anyone know what group these capoeiristas belong to

  • once they were from abada but now they're from capoiera saravá (cooperating with mestre capixaba/acapoeira)

  • I was gonna say these guys style is alot like abada's. ............

  • Bushido - Endgegner (Instrumental)

  • you dance an this is the fight as well!.

    [i do it capoeira too]

  • can enyone tell me the name of this song??

  • This is all nice, but I have never seen anyone FIGHT. Can you fight in this style.

  • i have before and won lol

  • I am talking about real fight not just a street fight. Never seen any in any competition any where.

  • oh yeah but capoeira is not meant for competition so your right!!! lol

  • Well there is a reason to that. That is because Capoeiras isnt united like other sports. Every capoeira group or orginization has there own graduation system and because of that you cant let them compete. Because you have two diffrent graduation systems you dont know what he/she learned. So long story as long as capoeira isnt united there wont be any competitions with other capoeira groups

  • No style is unified and if one existed that was, as soon as the head master died they all fight for power and fell apart. I know I have studied few styles and they all broke apart.

  • We don't want this we want capoeira to be a martial ART! and not a Sport, everything that became a sport lost the art in it...

  • Capoeira was not intended for competition...it is a dirty fight and a clean game. When in a fight a Capoeirista will fight dirty...hence malandro.

  • Every style is dirty in a fight, no rules exist. What I cant kick you in the balls or bite your ears off in a fight in the street.

No Martial arts was intended for competition, they just made changes and placed rules and designed it for competition.

  • Excellent description. Dirty fight and a clean game pretty much sums it up. I love Capoeira!

  • can I have the MP3 for the music in this from someone please?

  • Good capoeira, I don't even mind Nike, but what's up with the music. Let's keep it authentic next time!

  • fuck off nike, trying to use capoeira to sell their bullshit.

typical of modern capitalism to co-opt revolutionary memes and try to undermine them. kust like che guevara tshirts made by children who work like slaves.

we don't need anything made by nike to play capoeira. the soul of capoeira cannot be bought.

  • that's not capoeira. that's nike show and a group of performers

  • nike is a large corporation, it has sweat shops that underpays people to work in slave-like conditions. capoeira is an art form that was developed in resistance to such things as slavery and oppression... how ironic for a capoeira group to not look at what they are practising and it's relevance to the surrounding world. Or is it all about the show and performing???????

  • @kickinit85 iDiot

  • @Dani2300one Thanks for backing up my point. If you can't think of a better come back than that one, delightfully spelled in a typical iGen manner (the generation after gen-Y) then I have no doubt of your inability to comprehend the conflict of interest between practising capoeira and supporting Nike. Thankfully, based on that, we most likely practise completely different forms of capoeira and will never have to cross paths!

  • @kickinit85 I practice Capoeira, because it is fun to me. THAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ME!!

And if I could do a show to get out, to as many people as possible I would be excited. Once I was in a big theater

performing some capoeira, with my group... and I didn't think about that the curtains were made by people working in "slave-like conditions"!

I can definitly see your point. But I still think it's a bit stupid.

  • @kickinit85 Do U make Capoeira??.... cuz I do....

  • @kickinit85 Well, it is ironic, but it's definitely not surprising. Modern capoeira has almost nothing to do with any kind of historic capoeira. Moreover, modern capoeiristas are like prostitutes in that they'll gladly clown around and do their crazy jumps for anybody who pays (or just anybody who gawks and claps).

  • chingon nada mas k decir

  • amazing video..and the music is great too..but i dont agree with wanoo..there arent many acrobatics in video, this is normal roda, and those guys are probably instructors or mestres,as it can be seen in their movements and kicks..i`m capoeirista too and i have seen many rodas where was much more acrobatics than here.sorry for my english

  • its capoeira show in video :P when they performed the show they had real berimbau. feel aniw8a

  • Now that's capoeira! awsome...

  • Why don't we see the girls playing??.... :-(

  • @Marianalolo Does the phrase "token females" ring a bell? :-D

  • does somebody know the name of the song please?

  • Bushido - Endgegner (Instrumental)

  • @cameracapoeira your awesome

  • cool but without the berimbau you take away the spirit.

  • muito legao !

  • boring music...

  • Nice Nice, I like! Very good video adopted due to show people who dont know what capoeira is, to motivate them. But I think, in a normal Roda they wouldnt do so many acrobatics, althoug it looks nice.

  • as amazing as the atheleticism is, I love the connection between the players in angola

  • Very nice. I wish they had authentic berimbau to go with it.

  • the bald guy is annoying no offence lol

  • where can i get the full video from, anyone know?

  • so awesome, best capoeira vid ive seen

  • how can you call this capoeira when you don't even hear one berimbau in the whole video?

  • they may noy be playing the insruments but the reason i said its good is cuz some of the games i see them playing are good cuz they are acctually doing the moves with intention, and theyre taking eachother down. instead of just trying to flow, and alot of other vids show off too much.also.. you can see the roda and the instruments in the back. and cuz the instruments tend to not sound very good when recorded, the sound was overlapped by another song to keep peoples interest.

  • This is dope!
