I sort of liked this band in the early 90s when I was young. I guess I figured there were a lot of great bands like this that I was discovering at the time and probably just didn't know them. Now I love them. There are not very many bands like this I found out.
This is in part why together they're geniuses. It's a damn major chord, what like E(?) I dunno, and only some old school composers would've pulled this. It's just a straight up stunt, and I mean that in the best possible way. I fuckin smiled ear to ear when I first heard this on the Instrument soundtrack.
I had been unable to use my imagination in a conscious state for over 10 years until I heard this song. It re-activated my pineal gland, causing me to have a transient experience involving a synaesthetic "music video" set to this song, in which weeds started growing from the heart of a giant robot whose presence was slowly destroying the planet it walked upon; the weeds continued to "infect" the robot's cogs, breaking it down, ultimately rendering it part of the earth once more. I'm drug free.
