Apparently OU's AD and administration at the time wanted to focus on the rivalry with Texas when the Big 12 was starting. As a Sooner fan, it pisses me off to this day. Schools are lucky to have one distinguished rivalry (USC/Notre Dame, Michigan/Ohio State, Alabama/Auburn, etc.) OU used to have TWO with Texas and Nebraska.

My wife was an OU student back in 2000. We both went to this game, and are Nebraska fans. We went w/ some OU friends and sat right in the heart of the OU student section. Regardless of the outcome, I had so much fun. The atmosphere that week leading up to the game was incredible. Got to the stadium at like 8:00 that morning. 1st quarter was great, but then we were shut down after that. Let's hope for some more great OU/NU games. Great song!
