  • Hi. I just joined Youtube today. I watched either your first or 2nd weight in when you were 198# and now watched this one at 161#. Are you going to show a side by side before and after again, or was it in a previous video. The kitty running around and playing in the background was funny and you look happier and younger than you did in video #2. Thanks for sharing.

  • First off; Congrats on all the weight loss. But having seen all your videos in one sitting, I have to say there was something amazing about in weigh in#2. You sounded like you were in love with life even at 200. Here you sound more like you are in love with yourself at 160. I found the woman 200 in love with life so much more attractive. Enough with the weigh loss.

  • I only found your videos earlier this evening, but rapidly scanning through your first few weigh-ins up to your most recent ones was delightful.

    I admire your courage in your first two weigh-in videos to show your body and very directly state what about it made you unhappy. Then you set a goal, made a plan, (I LOVE that quote, "a goal without a plan is just a wish) and pursued it. I'm sure you hear it often now, but you do look great!

    I've been vegan/raw for a yr and feel better than ever too :)

  • I've been doing a 10 week challenge type thingie (purely for myself), where I'm doing strength training for ~10 mins every morning when I get up, and keeping my calories under 1400 (close to 1200, if I can) every day, never to exceed 1800. This has been very successful so far :D I love putting stickers on my perfect days and using a calendar (I'm a list person). Thanks for all your great videos Shanti--they're wonderful <3

  • Hey shanti I've been juicing since i was 10, my parents are obsessed with it! anyway, i am making my calendar right know my focus is: to eat before 6 everyday as well as do homework and go2sleep b4 11:00pm. :D thanks!

  • Hola Amiga, I'd like to join the 21 day challenge but am not necessarily make a video as uploading from Mexico with sketchy internet can be immensely time consuming. My 21 day challenge- everyday notate a positive mantra or affirmation and use it during the day :-)

  • You are doing great!! I love that I watch your videos now and think, "that's not far from me....I can do it too!" Because I used to watch your videos when I was 240 lbs and think I had FOREVER to go (especially when you made it to goal)! You have always been so inspiring though! My weight loss has to weight another 7 months at least, but I look forward to watching you and feeling inspired the whole time! ;)

  • I'm following your progress, and I know how difficult it is when que losing starts to go slowly. I used to have 150 pounds, and now I'm 163. I have lost 5 pounds this last month. When the losing gets slow you have to exercise more, it makes you metabolism gets fast

I actually had my "Ah-ha" moment yesterday over a bowl of oatmeal. lol My goals are to drink at least 64oz of water, exercise at least 4 times a week and eat more fruit and veggies. If you were to stand in front of me and I make this mistake about a word you would not choose to be so rude and tell me to read more books. I am certain of this. If someone were to say that to someone else in public then they would be asking for trouble. But people think they can say whatever they want, however they want, because they are on the internet and who cares if the other person has feelings.

  • Kind of off subject, but I just finished rewatching the vid where you modeled several outfits you used to wear and hoped to get back into. I'd love to see a new vid with your confident self modeling a few things you are stoked to have gotten into. I think it would be cool to have a kind of update and how much better you feel! Clothing is my main motivator as well, although our tastes vary quite alot! I dream of the day I can again go blow a months rent on my wardrobe!!
