Thanks for sharing! I'm in a terrible low with vinyl LP, so I need all the assurances I can get. This is a good album, but it's very heavily over-compressed. This is around the time that "The Loudness Wars" start taking over music, and that was probably a reason why we kids had such a hard time accepting this PJ album. Terrific songs, though, and definitely an album that rewards patience.
man, me and 2 of my mates spent a year listening to this album stoned out of our nuts in limerick ......their best album hands down! unfortunatly it was our first year in college, so non of us finished our courses...... happy dayz though. we all done good too! dont no why theres not more about this album?
EASILY their best album. I wrote a review for this in my school paper when it was released in 1996. I never thought I would hear this on vinyl - thank you so much.
@Sandizza The "experimental" Pearl Jam (from "Vitalogy" to "Yield" included) is my favourite era for PJ. I never liked "Ten" that much..."No Code" is very good.
I was just looking for a song off Vitology and the song "smile" ( from "no code")... yes this is a legendary album in my mind...and heart... but the concept of what you did... spot on awesome.... dig it... totally... Shalom!
Opening song of the greatest concert I've ever seen, and I've seen some great ones. Augusta Civic Center, Augusta Maine, Sept. 1996. During the encore(Alive) Dennis Rodman ends up on the stage piggy backing Vedder all over the stage, blew my mind. Place only fit about 8,500 people, crowd was right on top of the stage, just f-n insane! I'll never forget it.
those few first notes in "Sometimes" heard for the first time in Vinyl must've been something, worth every penny I bet; although I'm sure you will, treat'er like god's dinning plate.
will the uploader of this video please contact me for sex
