That is an american deluxe ash. You can tell by the abalone inlays. Besides, no vintage 52 ever had a tortoise pickguard. Also, it has a more modern six-saddle bridge as opposed to the 3 saddle vintage bridge found on the 52.
Honestly, if you did a blind test you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Common opinion, however, says that the 3 saddle bridges sound "better". However, the 6 saddle bridge will intonate much better and IMO will be much more comfortable.
I agree with the other comments, whatever the genre you play telecaster can be use, but i think blues would be the nearest genre that telecaster will fit
Awesome playing with a single-coil-pickup Tele!! I don't know what you are saying, but it looks like you hate the sharp edge on the body rubbing under your right arm , same as me....
tele's are great wth distortion and metal, theyre underated for heavy music, in college i played guitar in a couple bands with this guy who used a tele and soemtimes i used a strat and we played alott of metal on them and they sounded awesome
I wouldnt be sure about that, you know, an emg is something else than those things that they use on les pauls as standart pus....and a fender would NEVER sound close to a les paul because theyre just flat, les pauls arent
theyre great for punk as well. you can get some really great trashy sort of sounds out of them. strats and teles have to be the most versatile guitars i know of, because you can play clean and sound great and play with massive metal distortion and play great as well.
Well I feel like an absolute guitar hack now.

Ok, but the tele ive seen has black inlays with a white neck. Is yours a older model. (asking because im looking for a new guitar)
ILoveTelecasters 1 year ago
That doesnt look like a deluxe. The neck is different. The inlays shine and the neck is yellow. It look more like a vintage 52 or something

telecasters are usualy associated with the country twang but the reality is they're extremely versatile.
pleic 2 years ago 22
@pleic Jimmy Page recorded lots of Zeppelin with a Telecaster... as well, as using them live :-)
margovallen 1 year ago
@pleic I always felt Telecasters were associated with Bruce Springsteen and Keith Richards.

You saw the jim root signature??? EMG 81/60 and it has all black hardware and budy contours and its a tele. its pretty sweet
LordOfThisWorld74 2 years ago
Don' forget John 5 and his signature models, He is probably the biggest tele- maniac around, at least among the metal players.
