Ok something so simple How can I RECORD a SAMPLE int my own pattern on Edison ?? So that way I can use that pattern and put into the pattern box so that way I don't have to use the mouse or keyboard computer in order to do this

@MEMPHISBOY712 Hi - I would advise you to re-install FL Studio. However it sounds like your default Edison FST file is corrupted but I am not certain. Just simply backup your project files, audio files and re-install.
@SampleSimple ok i think my edison is corrupted too but just to be on the safe side im going to re-install fl studio anyway....So, i plan on backing up my songs and soundfonts on my flashdrive...im doing this by going into my c-drive/program files/image-line/ fl studio 9/data/projects (for the songs) and/patches/packs (for the soundfonts...is this the corect way to backup your data?
@1youngrizzal i have a regular soundcard....its back working now after i cleared up some memory on my hardrive and re-installed fl studio...hope that never happens again!!!
good vids..i have a fl prob..the tempo on a beat i made always changes to 29 when i press play on the playlist even if I reset the the tempo to a higher #: i saved the beat as a different name and exported it but it defaults back to 29 tempo..any ideas on how i can fix it?
This sounds like an Automation issue. Right click the Tempo then click Edit Events to see if you had somehow set automation for the tempo. You may also want to change the tempo to the desired value then right click and select "Init Song with this position"
I have one more issue with fl studio. when I play a drum beat, synth or anything else. It sometimes goes over the measure. I want to keep what I have just played but it wont fit into the bar. like if i set it to 6 measures and it goes a little over, I'm left with all this empty space. how do I cut the sample so it will loop in just right?
Cut down the sample to how you want it looped then if you were to drag it into the Step Sequencer, go to the Channel Settings and use the TIME wheel under Time Stretching. This is how I've typically fixed issues with squeezing the loop into the bar. Let me know how that works.
You may need to switch back to your core soundcard in the Audio Settings to listen to it OR for future scenarios, try launching FL Studio with ASIO4ALL already selected in the Audio Settings. I would also recommend using an external soundcard with standard ASIO drivers. These are more reliable as ASIO4ALL may not work for everyone's setup.
