@14medlak We just use the trolling motor, the river we fish in has a pretty heavy current so it moves us along and the trolling motor keeps us in control
@queensweet124 The whole point is to get rid as many as possible. Carp are Non native and very destructive fish. The destroy any vegitation for other, native fish to breed in. Anywhere they are non native and a problem (such as most of the US.) I say take them all!
Nice shooting, i live out here on a lake in tx, and i love it during spawning season, i just go back behind my house, sit on on the bank and wait for the carp and gars come swimming along the banks edge and shoot them from there. lol
I found practicing on an already shot fish is a good way to practice. It is amazing how much lower the shot has to be in the deeper water. Also found depending on the angle of the fish the arrow can deflect off.
i tried bowfishing before on the snake. my first time. it sucked cause we didn't have a boat and it was super windy. the wind kept blowing my line out of the reel. didn't get anything but it's somthing i would definately want to do again.
what part of the snake were you fishing? I've never bowfished on the snake, we usually hit blackfoot reservoir and american falls, when they are spawning. I live in the shelley area
hey......nice song.....it fits the clip pretty good ........anyways yeah nice shooting...but i would be better if you guys can shoot some bigger carp cause yeah imma interest in bigger game and bigger fish now.......hahhahha......welp good luck...see ya
well it helped as an aid in shooting ya could see the arrow better to determine where missed shots went low high and so on was just kind of an experiment to see how it worked. And thanks for the comment.
What value did the lighted nok add to your experience? I guess my question is asked because normally a lighted nok would help recover the arrow but in this case, you are tied - Please advise. Great video!
and great video. one of the funest things ive ever done

I always thought the snake was a cold water river and was surprized to know that carp are there.

i got to get a better light setup like that
RIVERRAT187 3 years ago
This is just a typical halogen set up works good for the size of the boat but metal halide or high pressure sodium lights would be nice :)
