Section 1031 of the bill is quite clear and isn't up for interpretation, it explicitly allows the military to detain terrorism suspects indefinitely without the requirement that US citizens be considered terrorists. What other possible way would you interpret this???

Obama himself/his administration requested to remove the part which specifically excludes american citizens.
You should take the time and actual read the bill i would like to say, but chances are you won't understand it, because the new part which was added and seemingly excludes american citizens is up to debate. Only a judge/lawyer could make an educated guess on this as we all know the law can be stretched.

That's exactly why I don't want this law getting passed in the US. Section 1031 of the bill is quite clear and isn't up for interpretation, it explicitly allows the military to detain terrorism suspects indefinitely without the requirement that US citizens be considered terrorists. What other possible way would you interpret this???

Just for your own knowledge and edification - a 2/3 majority vote by the U.S. Congress overrides any Presidential veto. Obama knows this, I know this, anyone who paid attention in their High School civics class knows this... Why don't you?
I'm not saying this is a bad law - it's all in the way it's implemented. I would like to see drug dealers, child molesters, thieves, rapists, and anyone who commits any act of violence against another individual arrested under the conditions of the NDAA.

EVERYONE: Go to the White House's website to sign a petition to VETO this bill.
On their homepage Select (We the People) tab, then Select (Open Petitions) tab. From there you can sign the petition. You may have to scroll down to find it.

We need 25,000 signatures by Dec 30. So far, we have 2,800.
