I paid thousands of dollars to Blue Cross but got fed up with the Insurance Company coming between me & my doctor

Every time I needed something, my doctor had to argue with them.

Inasmuch as I am a Veteran I then quit Blue Cross & started going to VA.

It's been like night & day.

Now, when I need a test, it's ordered & done.

Time it took me to get a colonoscopy with Blue Cross - 3 months,

Time with VA - 3 days.

Sounds like you should tell your government to repeal the exemption insurance companies have on anti-trust laws. Let the companies compete for our business, i bet you would get better care if you could tell them you are canceling your policy for another policy elsewhere. If conservatives raise a good point, many liberals lack the logic or TRUE facts to respond with. The government recently suggested raising the age limit at which they recommend women to be screened for breast cancer to reduce cost. What will happen once the government takes over the health care industry? Individuals will no longer have a choice. Those government suggestions will be policy and, in the case of breast cancer screening, some women will die as a result.

If you want to reign in insurance companies, LET THE CONSUMERS DO IT with competition. Of course some mandates will be necessary so the business does not hurt consumers, but when did the left leave the consumer out of the economic equation? Repeal the exemptions that the ins. comp. have under anti-trust laws, and you have your solution for lower cost.

Insurance is a bet that you are not going to get sick. They are betting you won't get sick , you are betting you won't either but you have insurance in case you do. Why should an insurance company take a bet out against somebody who already has diabetes? Explain to me a legit reason for covering pre existing?

-Preexisting conditions still exist

-Health care still linked to employment.

-Incentive to employers to lower premiums by forcing employees to have healthy habits. This means eating healthier, no smoking, no drinking, having a required gym membership.
