Everyone keeps trying to compare Crosby and Ovechkin, when it is nearly impossible. Both have different training, are two toally different people, and both have a different set of skills. They're both amazing in their own ways.
I'll always side with Sidney Crosby though. I've been a pens fan for forever.
next year the Caps will i think be much better as a team and i also believe Ovechkin will not have to "be the team" anymore, the Caps still have a very young team with some great new additions. Knuble i think is prob one of the best pick ups i have seen the Caps make in years. he is exactly what they needed. and Varly came out of nowhere, im glad hes gonna be the starter now i could tell from his first game, that he was without a question a starter type player, i just didnt know when he would be

Ovie: 8-6-14
crosby showed that when it comes down to it he can score like ovie. sure, O had two more assists, but they didn't seem to do much. crosby on the other hand, led his team to the next round, and, eventually, the stanley cup.
you also have to add in that Crosby team as a whole had the upper hand, yeah Varly is a great young goalie, but hes young and had no expierence in the NHL and had to come in and be the starter in the playoffs, and also the big issue was the Caps D, you cant expect to win when you let 2+ odd man rushes each game especially when playing the pens. the Caps i alwasy thought were the under dogs in that series. and im excited to see what they do next year with having more team expierence.
because pretty much, when a team limits Ovechkins shots and how he usually plays Caps fans expect others to step up and get the close win. Caps fans as well as NHL fans were very suprised on how poorly Semin and Green played in the playoffs, especially in the 2nd round. and you take Ovechkin, out of the game and Semin and Green cant find their game, and your playing a team as good as the pens, you dont really have a good chance. i was very glad to see some lesser names step up tho.

Finland usually puts a good team together too. Its definatly gonna be good.

This kid is far from a pussy he plays in the grittiest areas of the game(front of the net, along the boards and corners hes a beast) I dont always agree with some of the stuff he does(askin the refs to make an anouncement after ovies hatrick was a bit much) but you gotta give them credit..continued
