  • my whey is chocolate favored :)

  • Swifty, don't to many reps. Strengthening workouts are supposed to be short, with heavy weights. Believe me, you lose weight from that too. I lost like 20 pounds in a month -.-" Everything Rico's saying is BS. Cmon, you believing that guy? He is a trainingguy and still you are bigger than him, that means that hes been doing obviously something wrong ._.

  • @xGuitarStianx Not true, if you do a few reps on a really high weight, you will build more muscle, and almost no endurance, if you want to be strong and have high endurance, you need to lighten the weight and do more reps. It's not about being big, it's about being strong, not like one of those fake ass bodybuilders with huge muscles and no endurance, so what Rico is saying is correct.

  • @CrispyShammy If you mean so. All the professional bodybuilders + sportsmen says max 15 reps. Whos strongest? Bodybuilder or Rico?

  • @xGuitarStianx If you do Rico's style of training, you get long muscles that have more endurance, bodybuilders have no endurance, i didnt say shit about sportsmen. + sportsmen does it Rico's way (unless they are complete retards). The sports that use heavy weight training are example: Boxing (Powerpunching) and body contact sports, like: Rugby and American Football.

  • Music ? 3:47

  • Heheheh Here in scandinavia (especially Finland) we have like 100-110 degrees celsius in the Sauna, You guys are in temperature for the kids xD

  • man... you dont need to do so many excersices to be healthly... youre exagerating things.

anyway i dont like the fact that swifty is using the word "own" so much in whatever he does... it started when he became closer to athene.

  • @Svartdoden so many exercises lol? they didnt even do that many and that didnt go hard either. quit being a douche. just because you are an overweight basement dweller doesnt mean you can criticize him so piss off.

  • @scarletbrigadefilms Im not fat, im very thin actually and i dont do sooo much excercises as swifty do... i use to eat like 2 fried steaks daily, and ive not increased my weight in... 8 years? so... i can tell you... you dont need so much excercises to be healthy

  • @Svartdoden and now you are what like 16 lol. your metabolism will slow down at some point. just because you look healthy doesnt mean you are. you can be skinny and be incredibly unhealthy. Im an amature body builder and im a personal trainer for a living. does that mean im healthy? hell no.

  • @scarletbrigadefilms Im 23 years old, almost 24... and as i said, i do excercises and not as many as he does... you dont need that much

  • @Svartdoden the more you do the better for a point. swifty doesnt want to be skinny. he wants to be jacked. he is also 41 and alot of how you gain weight is genetic. maybe you can eat whatever you want and not gain weight. swifty can. l2workout science or gtfo.

  • @Svartdoden and plus do you see his body? he is not a small skinny guy. he has a decent amount of muscle.

  • @scarletbrigadefilms Thats the point that i wanted to reach! you dont need to get those muscles to be healthy... THATS WHY YOU DONT NEED TO DO SUCH A LOT OF EXCERCISES! did you get get it? thats what i was talking about since the begining...

  • @Svartdoden he wants to be muscular you idiot. and yes moderate exercise does your body good. you sit at home eating cheetos and run like once a week but because of your age it hasnt effected you yet. dont worry, you're time will come and you will understand.

  • @scarletbrigadefilms Haha, i think that i eat less "junk food" as swifty and maybe you (Including snacks, i dont like them). I dont run once in a week, i dont even run... but i walk daily 1 hour or even 2 sometimes... i skate and i do way less excercises as swifty... it is not only my age as you think, in each comment ive pointed that i do excercises but not in this way... anyway it seems that swifty is confusing being strong with healthy... thats my point.

  • @Svartdoden the two are connected. doing more physical activity is good for you. you can be strong and healthy. swifty does exercise in different ways other than the gym but the gym is a great way to be active. im done with this debate because you already have your mind made up and even though you really dont know much about the science behind this i just dont care anymore. swifty is doing it right for what his goals are.

  • @scarletbrigadefilms Being healthy can be easily reachable without being strong.. hes eating so many salats, doing diets, doing so many excercises... saying that he wants to be healthy and we should do the same for our own good... but it is not completly true, cause hes showing us a lot of unnecesary effort selling us that idea when the reallity is that you need such a lot of things when you want to became stronger not really to be healthy... being healthy is way easy than this.

  • @Svartdoden like i said, done arguing with you. you dont know what you're talking about.

  • Swifty, Ive been looking to do the same thing as I've seen in this video and the other ones similiar to it. I've watched it to see the excersizes and foods you eat, but its not specific enough for me to actually follow it as a plan. I was wondering if you'd be able to make an actual sheet or workout plan consisting of the workouts and reps of stuff you do with Rico, in terms of getting cut rather than bulking up. A diet plan of similiar nature would be incredible. Thanks so much if you see this.

  • 2:35 swifty pops One-shot macro!

  • i eat, sleep, wow, watch swifty and repeat.

  • try adding dry oats to your shake... totally worth it

  • You make training look fun. Good luck in loosing weight ;)

  • I've only now noticed they were playin Breaking Benjamin at the gym, wish my gym had that kind of music

  • yup the sauna part was little pathetic

  • ric o needs workoutchanel

  • Only Roids and REALLY serious injury will stunt your growth. I'm 14 and six feet tall

  • wow thats a big gym, mine wldnt even be a quarter the size ofthat

  • 03:45 - 04:04 = Songname is "Feint - The Tower Of Heaven"

  • Idiots ofcourse theres a difference between high weight low reps.

High weight low reps = Strenght.

Low weight many reps = Good looking body.

Rico knows what his talkin about his a smart motherfucker stop hatin.

Ofcourse bodybuilders take high weight they on steroids-.-

  • @Dumbonfools lol? :D

First, what do you mean by low reps and high reps and what do you mean by Good looking body but yeah before you respond I can already tell you, the rep ranges they're working at is rather for stamina and as you heard dealing with "lactic acid", not for any muscle growth/shape improvement. They're just burning calories I guess.

  • @Dumbonfools If you want your muscle to grow 6-20 reps is the best for most excerises. Lower than that is pretty much for strenght training and anything higher is mostly for speed or stamina.

  • what muscle is the first exorcise training ? is it triceps?

i mean the one where the wheight goes up and down from your chest.

  • @GamerGuy1227 since it's a narrow grip like that i guess mostly triceps

  • @EastlakeLAX22 thANKS MAN:)

  • @JohnsonMatthewR dude ur a dumbass thats not even close...when ur sore ur muscles are ripped apart..if u keep working it out 1 its doing nothing 2 it keeps sore and 3 u cant heal..

  • About the song in the middle its Feint - Tower Of Heaven really nice.

  • strong broscience

  • If you listen close, somebody's being raped in the changing rooms at 01:20 :s

  • dont do this shit

  • Haha, that "blasted lands" seems funny how u think about it, from opinion of finnish guy. :D 80c is pretty low temperature for us, usually like 100 celsius, and we sit head allmost touching the top. But I can totally understand it, since we're doing it since little kids 3-4 times a week, like every house here has a sauna. :P Nice to see u liked it too, Swifty. :P

  • @Rnakeri pretty sure 100 celsius is 212F

  • @Rnakeri And you should throw water to "stones" too so it will be even hotter when the steam comes :P

  • @Rnakeri It's funny the way you think this is only Finnish and no other country has saunas lol...

Those Russian Banyas out here in Eastern Europe go well above 105 Celsius and we still throw boiling water onto the stones!

  • @Rnakeri wait.. so you say that 80 celsius is a little? the sahara desert has 50 celsius at max, and water boils at 100 celsius, also does your body, if they would stay in that sauna at 80 celsius for a longer time, they would boil thier brain.

  • @CrispyShammy 100celsius is little i usually go to sauna at 130celsius.

  • now i can say to someone, You eat Shite

  • There is no need for you to be doing high reps on exercises, also there is no need for you to be doing useless ass exercises that you guys do in this videi. If you would like to make actual progress toss me a message il teach you how. What you are doing right now wont get you any results, high reps low reps have nothing to do with weight and it wont make any difference. Isolation exercises vs compound exercises have to do with it

  • @Sokan1993 Im sure the gym doesnt feel like wasting money on a brand new scale so they just keep the old school scale.

  • Normally ppl throw water to kiuas and the steam makes sauna more relaxed. Also we usually got +100C in our sauna, I like it better after gym etc.

  • ok, that is ridiculous what the both of them are doing.... don't do just bicep and triceps when you go to the gym! Do a whole body workout or do the half of third of your body.

Rico doesn't even look like he's working out and he's a personal trainer.....WTF!?!

  • Thanks for the tips regarding low weights and high repetitions! I mainly do body-weight exercises now (pushups, pullups, situps, and crunches), but used to do high weight low reps. Huge difference in strength now.

  • wat is the name of the song in the middle of the vid?

  • Comment removed

  • stupid workout... why professional bodybuilder don't do this shit ? you want to define but you don't have muscle to define.. that's stupid to.. idiots.

  • lol 9:53 look at the cooffe makers clock

  • This may not be normal, but in the TV-show "American Gladiator" a slim-trained (many-reps, light weight) won over the bulky-trained (few reps, heavy weight) guy...

I think it was the first episode of that show.

  • What's with these weird scales you use in usa? Where I live you just step onto a digital scale and you get the result instant.

  • @Sokan1993 i use digital scales in the usa its just them that use those old ass scales for some reason

  • @Sokan1993 They don't break as easily.

  • @FishnChipsnPie Might be, I have no idea. But my scale at home was a pretty cheap one made out of glass and I've had it for about 3-4 years now. It's still accurate and fully working.

  • @Sokan1993 The scale you saw in the video is more accurate than digital scales.

  • @Sokan1993 manual scales are more accurate than digital ones

  • @Sokan1993 so just cuz there was a standard scale in this video u assume all scales r like that in the US? Obviously we use digital scales like everyone else. but if u go to the gym or doctors u'll find scales like that because they are too heavy and big to pick up and steal. any1 could steal a small digital one so they have the standard one in public places like the gym. did u think of that?

  • @Christian69Martinez I asked the question because I've seen those scales thousands of times. Yeah, a household digital scale is small, but there are digital scales that are that big aswell. My gym has a scale that big which is digital. You step on it and get instant result. So the question still remains, why do you use (not only use) those type of scales.

  • @Sokan1993 that's a more accurate one

the digital one is all over the world but in gyms/hospitals they use this one

  • @Sokan1993 oldschool.

  • @emilm resorting to petty insults is pathetic. @Gabedagreat73 bragging about accomplishments is equal to waving your dick in someones face.

  • thats tooo much milk brosky haha, using water will be better smoother and wont make you feel so bloated and full

  • That protein powder is not good for your body later on.

  • 8:30 biology lol isnt than physics ... idiot

  • Swifty. I just wanted to let you know, that I have been watching your RL videos since you started. Lately I have been feeling a little out of it. You have inspired me to start running to get in shape, so I can start lifting weights and work on my abs. Thanks Swifty for the great inspiration, and I wish you the greatest.

  • The guy in the orange at the gym likes swifty he was smiling

  • tbh its not necessary to take protein shakes if u have a decent diet

  • Should use water with your protein shakes if your trying to not gain weight....and your repetitions were way to fast bro....lots of reps but controlled movement will give you better results and less chances of injury. :D

  • what is the name of that epic song?

  • Song 3:53..

    NICE BY THE WAY!!

  • 6:36 made my day ... EPIC FACE ! :D

  • Lol is that whole milk i see?

Can't be getting dairy fat swifty if you want abs.

Thats probably the biggest nono for getting abs.

  • WHats the last thing he puts in shake? ;)?

  • dude the 21s are really good!

  • Is the skinny guy wit the glasses telling him how to train, like he knows...

  • lol old guy laughing at swifty a the gym 4:55

  • he can just buy a blender bottle for like $7 instead of using that annoying ass blender...

  • i swear to god if i ever saw someone teaching somebody else to do this in the gym i would put the trainee out of there misery this just looks stupid

  • @hallajavel Since ........................................... mother nature took care of your need for milk as being a baby ? After you finnished drinking milk in infancy your done with it. You dont need a drop of milk anymore.

  • song name at 3:49 ?

  • Thats funny H O H is Hot as Hell anybody else notice Rico's fail

  • 3:10 give me a sign - breaking benjamin :O

  • well i guess it really depends on if you're doing heavy weight. If you're doing lots of reps with low weight, you'll tone and tighten so yeah, you'll lose a few pounds =)

  • lol you're not going to lose weight actually you'll probably weigh more in 2 weeks. muscle is heavier than fat.

  • @Gabedagreat73 Muscle is not heavier than fat. Muscle is denser than fat.

  • @emilm Muscle is heavier than fat. You just proved it yourself. Muscle is denser so it has more mass to it ,which makes it a lot heavier.

  • @emilm On earth, higher density = more weight. trust me, i'm a physicist.

  • @Gabedagreat73 Wow, if you're a physicist, you must've received a fail education. Higher density = more particles per unit volume. 1 kg of muscle is still 1 kg of fat. It will ALWAYS WEIGH THE SAME.

  • @emilm lol please stop smoking pot if you want to try and prove a point. If you take 1 kg of fat, and 1 kg of muscle OF COURSE they WEIGH the same newb,

Take one cup of fat and one cup of muscle, weigh the two, muscle will weigh more. is that so hard to understand?

  • @Gabedagreat73 Wow, lol you've just proved my point. It's called DENSITY. For a "physicist" you really are dumb as hell. Like I said, Density = more particles per UNIT VOLUME.

    1 cup = VOLUME.

    Weighting them = MASS.

The weight / volume = DENSITY.

YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT DENSITY, NOT MASS.

  • @emilm Fine, you're right. I'm just studying biophysics, teaching physics, and going to grad school next year to becoma medical physicist (radiation therapy physics) I have no idea what i'm talking about.

  • @Gabedagreat73 Go write your blog somewhere else, loser.

  • find it weird that im moving my head to bulletproof, swifty singing it didnt help either lol

  • i like

  • 10:22 UNO !

  • what does rico do for a living? ghis house is sweet and his kitchen is awsome

  • should only be losing 1 lb per week or u risk losing muscle mass

  • Can someone tell me what foods are the best source of protein?

  • @Haywire5714 bread with maynus on it

  • You went into the sauna with clothes on eh? ;D. 80 celsius is nothing anyways, it's gotta be 90+ or i won't even go in.

  • 3:30 background music Breakin Benjamin!!!!!! :)

  • u no if u wanna lose weight u should pump the cardio weights will make u heavier lol

  • Wtf is this shit? Lol yea 20-50 reps really will put on muscle. Just look at Rico and all that muscle bro. Damn son mirin

  • rico sucks he has to wear gloves for such light weight trying to look professional lame, i would be in gym forever if i had to workout like this.

  • I honestly think Rico is a terrible trainer, he hardly looks fit or ripped himself..

And i think your diet is decent, could be improved a bit though.

I've been in the gym for 14 months now, and have gone from Fat to Fit. I've written an eBook for friends, and I've inspired many. I know I'm not the best, but I'm just glad i'm no longer overweight with fat. But now I'm ripped :)

I believe you should get a new routine :( sorry.

I support you all the way though swifty, keep it up!

  • @TheLover good advice...

  • Broscience at its finest

  • @aksampras hehe

  • bad

  • Comment removed

  • Swifty, aim for 16 reps for weight lose, trust me doing my gym instructors currently so 16-20 reps x3 sets = fat burn

If you want some hints/points just holla bro xx

  • Guys don't hold breath while working, it's SOOOOOOO BAD !!!

  • You should try adding frozen fruits to your whey shakes!

  • HOH stands for Hot As Hell?

  • Yeahh... I would not reccomend these excercises Rico is doing...

  • dont use ur back :)

  • Rico has gotta start his own channel. He's seems awesome xD

  • So much broscience in this video,

TOGETHER TO THE FUCKING TOP I WILL NEVER STOP!!

  • lol the day swifty says something ISNT delicious...

  • Keep these gym vids coming. It's inspiring me to go and work out :P

  • cringe

  • Swifty you're the best!

  • Music used in this Vid? background music.. ; )?

  • so OP

  • What does Rico work as? How can young Americans afford such nice houses!? :o

  • Should I wear my own clothes in the sauna? I don't really like changing when I go to the gym, I go in my clothes and walk home then shower. I don't like the whole changing room scene at the gym. Also, Swifty didn't eat before his workout, isn't that bad for you?

What is the ultimate best way to 'bulk' but lose fat also?

Lastly, what's the best creatine/ proteins to help with that?

  • @Gaz10t during work outs, you should wear loose clothes, in which you can actually move comformtably (NO jeans etc.). After working out, you'll be sweaty (WHICH IS GOOD!). You can just keep wearing it untill you get back home, take a shower, and put on some other clothes.

If you don't eat before working out, you will have to face the consequences. I've seen people do this, and some of the fainted. You might wanna grab something to eat before hitting the gym.

  • @Gaz10t Cardio is the best way to burn fat. If you want a six-pack/get abs, cardio will help alot. There's a thin 'layer' of fat on your abdominals. Cardio will help you burn some of that fat, which results into a six-pack. ;)

And for the rest: Google is men's best friend

  • Why are you in sauna with clothes on wtf ?

Btw here in Finland around 80% of the households have saunas in them.

  • In Finland we go sauna once a day :D

  • swifty training to pvp!

  • I once was down to 48kg from 61kg. Why? I had UC and was also extremely dehydrated. I hadn't eaten for five days also.

  • I GET TRAINED BY JACK LOVETT.. JS

  • you have to have atleast +80 'C in that room so is like normal sauna in finland XD

  • 6:37 dude the face killing me!

  • Swifty you noob! That's not even hot sauna, maybe warm... Visit Finland and try saunas there. :)

  • You should use ice cream as a catalyst. It helps your body digest the protein. Use a low sugar ice cream. :) you will be set. And eat lots of good protein. I.E fish eggs and peanut butter is also really good for you. Use a all natural no sugar added. Also rabbit is very good especially after workout because it is 100% protein no fat at all. Just a little info if you want it.

  • for those of you who are going to follow their post workout nutrition (shake), I would be careful of adding too much honey and milk. After an intense workout your glucose levels are really low, so having a good deal of sugar spikes your insulin levels (which helps stimulate muscle growth) but, as we know, continuous insulin spikes leads to type 2 diabetes. Protein powder in water and 1 cup whole grain rolled oats = best for muscle growth. Keep on lifting!

  • @moonshield343 he doesn't want to bulk, he wants to loose weight. he shouldn't be drinking protein shakes he should be doing cardio and eating and drinking right.

  • @priris Protein shakes are good at any time priris. You should have ATLEAST 1g of protein/pound of your current weight to help avoid muscle loss. The whole goal of a cutting phase is to lose fat while RETAINING all the muscle you spent building up. The more muscle you have, the more calories are burned because they are used to feed those muscles, which helps to burn fat. There's no worse feeling than cutting and realizing you lost a lot of muscle in the process, you wont look or feel good.

  • @moonshield343 That isn't true. You need a calorie calculator for one to decide that... having too much protein can unbalance a diet and make your diet unstable. I'm not saying its bad, I have protein powder in my water everyday. He doesn't really need the protein to maintain muscle as long as he eats. But the most important aspect of loosing weight is water. When your hydrated properly you are 18% stronger and it fills you up so you are less hungry. Cardio is really the fastest way to burn fat.

  • @moonshield343 sorry some points in that statement are very correct. Not to say all of it isn't wrong. its mostly correct.

  • @moonshield343 this is true, also they use ''ready for use protein'' suppliement, the healthy way to provide yourself nutrials is from healthy food, if you dont dijest your food in order to provide your body with the nutrials then you cause yourself serious damage on you dijestion and on some vital organs, conclusion eat eggs, milk and other healthy food full of protein and leave those chemical craps, cause the only thing that you do by using them is making the companies that sell em richer!!!!!

  • Just did the workout, feels amazing, thank you so much swifty and Rico!!!

  • jajajaja nice swifty

  • ricos protein shop lol.
